"Pros: Friendly staff, big rooms, spacious and very clean and affordable. Cons:There are a lot of mosquitos in the room so make sure to bring mosquito spray. Also, the bed is very very hard. All in all it is a good clean option for the price."

Rubbish and hair on the floor. We asked for the room to be cleaned, 3 hours later still not cleaned at 8pm. We approached the owner who apologised and said his housekeepers “keep running away”. "We left it late to book a hotel in Langkawi and we couldn't get in to any of usual hotels but managed to get a room at the Penarak Bamboo beach resort. When we went in the room it was spacious and very clean but when we opened the back door the view was spectacular. It's a very laid back place, the staff are friendly I ended up booking for another week. It's such a relaxing place, I would definitely go back"

"At first the property seemed to be in a strange location (behind a car park) but we came to appreciate the calm quiet area. Close enough to the beach for a quick stroll down and far enough away you won’t be disturbed when the town comes to life at night! We loved the pool. Very clean throughout.
