"Staff a bit tricky re booking tables to eat. Reception didn’t say a thing but I felt like we got into trouble trying to get dinner. Just a heads up to anyone - book a table. Food and venue was beautiful all the same."

"A beautiful guest house with a beautiful view across the water. The bedroom had a lovely sea view , comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. There were many little extras but I particularly liked the Dunoon fine bone china cups , saucers and teapot a delightful way to enjoy a cuppa. Ken is a great host and seems to think of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a good choice available. "Leider war unser erster Eindruck vom Zimmer sehr enttäuschend. Im Zimmer roch es unangenehm muffig, im Fensterbereich war deutlich Schimmel vorhanden, und im Bett befanden sich Haare. Einen solchen Zustand hatten wir bei einem Hotelzimmer nicht erwartet. Die entsprechenden Bilder füge ich der Bewertung bei.
Nachdem ich mich an der Rezeption beschwert hatte, reagierte die Mitarbeiterin dort sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie zeigte uns zwei alternative Zimmer, aus denen wir auswählen konnten....

"Bonita casa de campo situada en una zona tranquila y apartada frente al mar. Cómoda, silenciosa e ideal para una escapada romántica. Ojalá hubiéramos podido quedarnos alguna noche más. El servicio es excelente y el desayuno algo para no perderse. Los mejores eggs benedict que he comido en años."

"Great Base for Exploring Arran
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Auchrannie Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Arran.
The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, providing a relaxing base to explore the island. One of the highlights was dining at the resort’s Cruize Restaurant, which offered healthy menu choices along with prompt and friendly service.

"Loved the style of the hotel. Stunning decor and very comfortable beds. Staff were also delightful and well informed. The pool was a really decent size - though in contrast to the rest of the hotel the pool area is very grey and uninteresting. Also no jacuzzi.
Food and drink very good and the dining room is beautiful.
We had a spa suite which was very spacious and comfortable BUT be warned - it is a very long walk from these to the main hotel. I counted walking through 8 fire doors before...
