Host is very informative and checks in throughout the stay. The property is spotless and has anything you would need for your stay. Private pool is an amazing amenity.

Kaluma Villas was beyond our expectations. We were able to check in early and very easily. All instructions from the host were clear and easy. The volcano views from the pool are amazing. Everything was absolutely clean and we had any appliance needed to make meals, easily getting food from the local markets. We look forward to returning with friends and family! Highly recommend this fabulous resort.

This place was incredible! We stayed here with our 18-year-old and 9-year-old. Pool in front was beautiful, everything was clean, and excellent communication with host. We would 100% come back here and stay for much longer!

A wonderful stay. The property was beautiful and had beautiful walking trails. The place we stayed was in excellent condition and beautiful. It had everything you needed and more.. Very close to the main la fortuna town. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Could not reccomend enough.

As a family of 4 with two teens we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was clean and had plenty of space. The outdoor pool area was private and a treat to enjoy!

From the time we booked the Villa to the moment we left as our vacation came to an end, it was PERFECTION. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was extremely clean, the A/C worked very well in all areas of the villa. It is very well manicured, great signage. The host is very communicative. We appreciated the complimentary two bottles of water and two beers in the fridge! We loved the touch of costa rican coffee, olive oil and simple spices! We cannot wait to book this again for a much longer stay! Truly amazing !! Thank you!!

The place has everything. Even a panini maker. Location is decent. A little far from La fortuna but it’s super quite pleasant. There’s a nice restaurant right nearby (terraza 86?) but we didn’t get to try it. Looks like a great place. Only complaint is that my son had to sleep on the sofa bed and it’s kinda busted. They should replace it with a better quality sofa bed. But otherwise the place is excellent.

Unit was very clean, modern and everything looked just like the pictures. Great landscaping. Having our own pool gave us a great spot to relax. They let us check in early which was really nice. Would book again!

This property completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was very helpful. The kitchen was wonderful for our family. We were very pleased to find two balconies and a kitchenette on the top floor! Basic cooking items were included which made everything so much easier to prepare basic meals. I can’t say enough good about our stay here.

Our stay at Kaluma Villas was very nice. We used this as our home base for exploring La Fortuna. It's a newer complex of villas about a 15 minute drive from the bustle of town. The chalet was clean, well equipped and welcoming. The living area is quite small, but bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The pool and patio area is a nice plus. Security is good and we felt quite safe during our stay. This is an ideal spot for 2 couples exploring the area and seeking a quiet respite outside of La Fortuna.

Amazing property with private plunge pool. Looks as the pictures show.we enjoyed the stay and even played with the Jenga and super banco( Costa Rican monopoly).

The property was very clean. Amenities included anything that you would need while vacationing., The manager answered all calls in a timely manner, This property was a little oasis. Very serene landscaping, rambutan, bananas, and coconuts were throughout the property. Small pond/stream near to explore. It was extremely quiet and peaceful.

If you prefer a vacation rental with minimal human interaction then this is the perfect place for you. The villa is beautiful and the pool was well used. There were clear check in instructions emailed to us. However there was no physical human interaction the entire time we were there. There was also no written guide/manual about the unit. My only option was to use the Expedia messaging system to communicate with the operator but the operator’s name was not provided. A bottle of wine was left for us for some inconvenience which was thoughtful.

The property and the house were amazing! Spectacular view of Arenal from our balcony, nice pool, well stocked kitchen, and nice trails and view points on property. A short drive into La Fortuna and all the local attractions. Brayan the host was amazing. When I asked he provided local recommendations for attractions. He restocked or kitchen with more tea and coffee when we needed it. Most notably Brayan went above and beyond with a special request for Valentine's flowers.

We stayed in one of the A framed villa. We loved the private plunge pool and all the amenities that were provided at this villa. At the time we stayed there were only seven villas. Very clean and the villa looked to be new. Upstairs in the master suite there is a king sized bed. All the pillows and beds were comfortable and the pull out couch was overall comfy for our son. Big kitchen and refrigerator. There is even a small mini fridge and a sink up stairs in the master bedroom. Tiled showers are beautiful and nice had a good flow and good maintained temperature.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLACE!! Don’t hesitate to book this place. It’s clean, spacious, beautiful inside and out. It’s so close to Fortuna but away from the noise and crowds. The private pool is stunning, as are the views. We saw the volcano from our patio each day. The service was amazing and they gave us endless tips and recommendations that were on point. We travelled as a family with 2 teen boys and everyone loved it. There is AC, the kitchen was stocked with more than we used (juicer, panini press, etc etc). The grounds are beautiful and they have hiking trails. Little restaurant and supermarket very close. We even had a bonus kitty come visit us through our stay. I would recommend this over and over!!

Fantastic place to stay near La Fortuna. The unit was very clean (I'm very OCD so that's HUGE!) and well maintained. It would be nice if there was a booklet added with wifi instructions, check-in and check-out instructions. Thanks again and hope to return in the future!

We loved everything about this property. Stayed here June of 2026. The villa was clean, comfortable, and had everything advertised in the listing. Mini-split A/Cs in nearly every room, pretty good view of the volcano. Loved the small, private pool and we enjoyed the trails all over the property that you can walk and see a little bit of nature. Check-in process was super simple, communication with host was good, and we really had no issues with anything. We had a small issue with our sliding door handle and the staff fixed it immediately. We always felt secure inside the gated community and at the villa. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone going to the area. There is a really good pizza place just a mile or two up the road back towards La Fortuna right beside the little supermarket called La Pizzeria de Sari (we got 3 pizzas from him while there, super nice guy) and another good little soda just a mile or 2 the other direction on the side of the road called Sabores Eli.
