First and best experience
Bj is truly a cut above the rest. I was very nervous since this was my first experience with VRBO. But he was very helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this location for anyone that's trying to get away from City and enjoy sometime in nature.

Thanksgiving vacation stay
I have older teens. One of them is in college and the next two siblings are right behind the oldest, this next year. We reserved a trip to spend some family time before they grow up and are unable to join us because of unpredictable life events that can occur when we become adults. At one point it almost made me sad seeing us all together, enjoying our time as a family (getting older) We have rented a few cabins throughout the years. This cabin surpassed the rest and of them by far according to my family. The pool table, the scenery, the rooms and privacy was exceptional. The communication with the property manager /the owner was thorough, friendly, welcoming and responsive. They gave us several suggestions on what other sites all around the area. If you come out here, you definitely want to take advantage to of trails and or attractions out here. You get to see a lot of wild life up close from the window. It’s is a site to see.

Place to relax
First off the communication and details provided by the owner was great. The home has everything you need to relax. It is a little bit of a drive on dirt roads to get to the home so be prepared. Plenty of games to keep you entertained, nearby place to try a flight of mead drinks, not too far to still go to town to eat or get supplies. Would recommend.

Great experience all around
Host had oustanding communication, including additional information about area activities, detailed driving directions, tips/tricks, and other small things that made the stay more than just a "nice spot." The home was immaculate, and had everything described in the listing. The area is a perfect place for solitude, but not too far from lots of things to do and see.

Rental in the mountains
The house was amazing we went on walks at night, the game room and pac man was a hit and very spacious. I will say best part was at night on the top deck looking at all the beautiful stars, i dont see that in phx. Was so easy to communicate with the owner gave alot of details and recommendations.

Great place and location
The owner was very cooperative and great communication. THe property was well stocked and a in a great location if you want peace, quite and nature. The cabin was exactly as it shows in the pictures. We loved our stay and will be staying there again, Thanks.

Girls getaway
There were 5 of us & usually 6 - we've stayed here before & absolutly love it! Everyone enjoyed the cooler weather on porches. We played pool, ate some fabulos food prepared in the great kitchen that has everything you would need! Like that the table is big enough for all of us. Such a relaxing, FUN getaway!

Great location
Nearly perfect stay. The location was fantastic. Far away from urban or even suburban lights and traffic. Lots of uncovered windows let it tons of light and allow you to see forest on every side. The listing says sleeps 8, which is technically true. 2 children slept on futons that were provided. I initially misunderstood that there would be beds for everyone. The one note I have is that the water pressure in the showers and dishwasher was kind of low. So hand washing the dishes was required to get them clean. Finally, communication was fantastic. BJ suggested nearby activities and my sons loved collecting geodes. All in all it was a fantastic trip.

Jared, thanks for the information you provided. Based on your feedback, I have made three changes. 1) I have ordered and installed new shower heads for the showers. That helped a lot! 2) I increased the house water pressure so everything is working great. 3) I tossed the futons and added a queen mattress that can be placed on the ground when a guest brings 7 or 8 guests. Our house has beds for 6, but the extra queen mattress will sleep up to two more. By the way, the extra mattress fits easily in the twin beds bedroom. Jared, come back anytime!

Short getaway
Owner was great to work with and the location was perfect for a couple of days to unwind. Lot's of hiking and had two different parks to ourselves. The evening fires in the fireplace were perfect to rest up for the next day.

Cozy cabin and perfect for a family or friends getaway!
We had a fantastic time! Everything from booking to departure was perfect! Plenty of games, beautiful and quiet location. Sleeping arrangements were great for our needs. beds were comfortable. Had all items needed in the kitchen with a cute and unique wine opener. Plenty of games in the game closet, pool table, and electronic darts. We will definitely book again!

Anniversary vacation
October is always my favorite time of year. This cabin was the perfect getaway from the city for our anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and spacious, with lovely views of the forest from all angles. We enjoyed relaxing, walking, playing pool, and star gazing. Everything was so quiet and peaceful. The weather was excellent. BJ was a very attentive and responsive host.

Great activities inside and outside!
Location was great for some great hiking spots! Tether ball, tire swing and large yard was awesome for the kids to explore safely (the house is set back from the road). Pool table and old school arcades were a hit for indoors play. Kitchen had all basic necessities.

Relaxing in the forest
We enjoyed the privacy of the forest and being able to see the outside from every room in the house. Lots of books and games. We played corn toss and at night played pool until late at night. Nice large kitchen with plenty of space for cooking. The area is great for hiking and we did plenty of hikes that were close by. BJ our host was always available when we had questions.

Just what we needed
This was everything I was looking for. My friend and I needed a recharge and some time to connect with nature. The house and surroundings provided everything. It rained most of the weekend but we were able to get out and enjoy a hike. Checked out the local meadery and fell in love with the owners. The locals were super helpful for finding cool rocks. BJ was super helpful when we got lost and turned around on our way in. Exceptional stay.

Great cabin getaway.
Just as advertised, a secluded luxury cabin in Tonto National Forest. The photos accurately represent the property. BJ the owner had excellent communication. He gave perfect instructions to get there, and was responsive to the few questions we had. Loved all the usb chargers in the bedrooms. My wife forgot her hair dryer but no worries one was available. My boys loved the pool table darts and acade table. No cell service but internet was reliable averaging 2-3 megs down. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Relaxing getaway
The house is great. The location is better. Fear not as you wend your way out of Payson and through the desert scenery, the trees are coming. It was quiet, comfortable, and beautiful, and the amenities like the pool table and video game console added to our fun. Would visit again.

Perfect for a large family!
Our host BJ has an excellent property, close to trails to explore, but tucked away you don't feel the city life at all. BJ has plenty of entertainment for the kids and peaceful scenery for the adults. This was our second time at the cabin and it will definitely not be the last. Cheers!

Perfect Get A Way
Looking for a perfect place to out of town...this is it!! We have used VRBO for all our places to rent and each time it gets better. This cabin has it ALL!! Clean, homey, and the perfect spot in the forest. Very open and so many windows! Super clean and well stocked. BJ was awesome!! Lots of information before our trip on great hiking and sights to see in the area. Directions were perfect! Me and my husband had a wonderful time and will be coming back with the family on our next trip. Highly recommend going on 2nd floor deck to star gaze. By far our favorite place we have rented. Thank you BJ for the hospitality.

Relaxing
The place was very nice. The cabin was very private. Fantastic views on the porch. The owner BJ was very informative with other activities to do, places to see. the directions from him where right on. Only thing the owner had a lot of rules for his Cabin. the BBQ grill on the porch was very old and was burn out in the back side of the grill. Also at check-out he asked me to help the cleaning crew with starting the laundry. We where on vacation for my Birthday and I already paid $190.00 cleaning fee.

Beautiful spacious cabin in perfect location
Inside, outside, everything was awesome! The home is beautiful and the 3 different decks came in handy; accommodated everyone, whether the person wanted sun OR shade. What fun to have an arcade game that took us back to the 80s and a pool table too! We would love to stay again.

Great Hidden Getaway

We loved our stay up in the mountains of Payson - wish we could have stayed longer than the weekend. The host gave us very clear instructions and even provided great ideas for local hiking and and sight seeing. The home is just beautiful and very clean - highly recommend staying here!

Great Cabin
The cabin was perfect for the 6 of us. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The cabin is in a great location within the forest and with the outside decks, it was great to sit out doors to eat and relax. The host ( BJ) was responsive and helpful when there were questions. This is a place that we would go to again if we go back to the Pine area.

Our party of 6 enjoyed this fabulous home last summer & knew we wanted to come back. Everything is perfect - plenty of room for all & 2 decks for morning or evenings enjoying outdoors along w a 3rd Upstairs for STARS! Kitchen has everything too- just perfect. A Picture of Beauty
My family and I were looking to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and I have to say this little gem did not let us down. This property is nestled in the deep forests of Payson and we did not hear anything but the sounds of Mother Nature. The owner suggested bringing an off road vehicle to explore the hills and terrains and a suggestion that was truly valuable. I was not the least bit disappointed. Great getaway!
Everything about our stay was wonderful. The owner offered very detailed information about the house, directions, and the area. The house was very clean and comfortable, and we loved the rather remote location. Very close to lots of hikes connected to the local creeks. We hope to return in the future!

Ideal family getaway
This home is an ideal place for a family getaway. The home has all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay, including a huge kitchen, tables and chairs on the 3 decks, a game room with pool table and very comfortable beds and pillows. We hope to return next summer for an annual retreat. Thanks BJ!
