excellent value

Staff extremely accomodating. Location can't be better, especially if you come by train. Room are over average for that hotel category. Breakfast was over our expectation. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

El hotel es excelente, primordialmente por su ubicacion enfrente de la estacion y a unos minutos del centro y del Dannubio. Muy bien el bufete desayuno.

Mooi hotel om te overnachten.

Was een prima hotel met goed ontbijt. Kamers waren netjes en het balie personeel was vriendelijk.

Schrecklichste Hotel dass ich kenne. Ist in den 70ern stehen geblieben, dringend renovierungsbedürftig!!! Zudem Baustelle direkt am Gebäude!

Ohne Baustelle ein Traum

Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal, wenn man im Zentrum von Passau nächtigen möchte und mit dem Zug anreist. Auch das Hotel selbst mit seinen Zimmern ist sehr komfortabel. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jetzt kommt der Wermutstropfen. Leider ist seit mindestens einem Dreivierteljahr das ganze Hotel im Umbau. Die Bohrhämmer beginnen um 8 Uhr morgens und enden leider erst am späten Nachmittag. Wenn man am tagsüber unterwegs ist, ist ein Aufenthalt trotz allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Hotel ist leider schlechter geworden

Wir hatten eine Suite gebucht und bekamen ein DZ mit Blick in den trostlosen Innenhof :((. Zur Zeit finden Arbeiten an der Fassade statt und das Hotel ist eingerüstet. Das Badezimmer ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und mit einer, zum Einstieg sehr hohen, Badewanne ausgestattet. Die Betten sind sehr nieder und teilweise durchgelegen. Renovierung dringend erforderlich! Von 3 Aufzügen war nur einer in Betrieb, was immer wieder zu Staus führte! Frühstück war sehr gut wie wir es von unseren vergangenen Aufenthalten gewohnt waren. Aber sonst ist leider alles schlechter geworden.Für eine Nacht nach unserer Schiffsreise o.k., aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht zu empfehlen.

Bis aufs Parkhaus einwandfrei.

Hotel war alles soweit ok, auch wenn nur 1 lift funktionierte (umbau) - was mich aber wirklich verärgert hat war das parkhaus. angeblich kostet es 4,50 für 24Stunden - leider ist diese Angabe falsch, denn die Abrechnung erfolgt NACHTS um 2 Uhr!!!!! Kein Mensch verlässt das Parkhaus nachts um 2 - das ist für mich schlicht Abzocke, denn so zahlt man fürs Parkhaus 9 Euro statt 4,50Euro pro Tag !! mehr als 3 Std kosten 4,50 - Zeit läuft bis nachts um 2, dann wieder ab 2, sprich man parkt abends das auto, kosten 4,50bis 2 uhr nachts und dann wenn man morgens wieder rausfährt hat man ja locker 3 stunden nach 2 uhr geparkt, nochmals 4,50 - der automat will also jedesmal 9 euro!!! Abzocke!!

The property was undergoing MAJOR!! renovations and construction noises started at 7:00 am and went on till after 6:00 pm. We should have been informed of this at the time of booking. Very disappointed. Staff and rooms were excellent but the construction was a huge disappointment.

Geräumiges Zimmer,sehr grosse Betten. Sehr zentral gleich gegenüber vom Bahnhof.Hotel ist eine Großbaustelle,morgends kurz nach 7Uhr wecken mit Bohrhammer u. co. Hotel gebucht wegen des Pool`s War aber geschlossen.Das hätte man vorher sagen können dann hätte ich woanders gebucht.

Great value

When approaching the hotel the construction is off-putting. And the pool is closed and only one elevator works but truly this was a great hotel across from the train station and the city bus line to downtown for one euro stops right there. It was clean and quiet. Front staff was helpful, ordering a taxi.

Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und dringend modernisierungsbedürftig. Wegen Umbau war das Hallenbad geschlossen, Aufzüge waren nur bedingt in Betrieb. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist eine Baustelle.

Avoid this place

The hotel is currently under construction and the pool is unavailable. It is not located near the nicest area of the city. The hotel staff was typical for Germany when they see that you are traveling with children (rude, unapologetic, and cold). We stopped here on our way back home to Frankfurt after a long road trip through Slovenia and Hungary. We have three children, so we were forced to reserve two rooms, even though one of the rooms was the "Executive Suite." Don't let the title fool you. It just means bigger. The only reason we reserved this hotel was because they had an indoor pool. When we found out (upon arrival) there was no pool available during our stay we were not allowed to cancel the reservation without a penalty of 90% of the room(s) cost. The hotel also advertises "laundry available on-site." There is a laundry service, but it is paid and there are no washer/dryers on the property for personal use. The pictures online are not representative of what the property actually looks like. They claim to be a 3 star facility. Maybe when they first opened their doors in 1970. It doesn't appear that the property has been renovated since. The only positive: the room did have AC.
