I usually give the benefit of the doubt to hosts 'cause its a hard job. In this case, I won’t be back
The good: Location, general layout, regular deer sighting out the back of the house and sometimes, while driving/walking on the blocks to the house. Coffee lovers dream with 3 different kinds of coffee makers (and coffee) provided. Nicely stocked kitchen. Clean BBQ grill. Generally well-stocked amenities.
The bad: Host communication (rude and accusatory). Lockbox open with missing key upon arrival. After 30-40 min., host insists box was closed and had a key, also asking me if I had the right place and I told them the address/photos matched, so ‘yes;. Host then informs me of 2nd lockbox, which worked fine. Let them know I was ‘in’, host says they ‘sent someone by’ and I was wrong,. I offered to send them a picture of the open/empty lockbox and they declined. Host asks if I ‘knew how to use a lockbox’. I didn’t want to be petty and so I didn’t write the obvious question: “How do you think I got in using the second lockbox, if I didn’t know how to use one?”.
Downstairs en-suite bathroom shower backs dirty water up to your ankles. AC can’t keep up with the heat (works & is not adequate). Power outage on last day that the neighbors knew about due to utility warning sent to property owners. Host claimed not to know about it. I packed in the relative dark, left an expensive Bluetooth headset and when I wrote asking if it can be returned, they never replied.
