Overbooked & Rude
Our host never provided check-in information and didn't respond to our message inquiry. We had stayed previously, so we used the same instructions. We woke up the next morning to a man rattling the door handle trying to get in. The whole morning was then spent with various people coming and going and putting the host on speaker phone while she accused us of not having a reservation. First she said we canceled, then acknowledged we had a previous booking, but weren't booked currently. I asked for the wifi password, as there is no service at the property, so I could provide our confirmation information, but she continued to talk over me. Our morning (and attempts to quietly enjoy the wildlife were ruined). They apparently had overbooked and had other guests scheduled to stay in our room. I believe those guests were redirected to a loft space. I don't know about the other guests, but we have received no apology or compensation. It was a very expensive property which we booked well in advance. We were very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning.
