Whether you're enjoying your morning sunrise having coffee on the deck, watching native tūī and other birds in the surrounding bush, or unwinding with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the hills, every moment at Larnac Bach invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Inside, you'll find bright, open-plan living with large windows that frame the stunning outlook. The fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, and thoughtfully furnished bedrooms provide everything you need for a relaxing stay, whether it's a romantic weekend away, a family holiday, or a getaway with friends on a hiking and activity weekend.

We’ve chosen not to have a TV so you can truly switch off and enjoy what makes Whangārei Heads so special — the beaches, walks, fresh air and beautiful surroundings. It’s a chance to slow down, reconnect and enjoy some quality time together without the usual distractions.

The size of the property is 14 Hectares, and it backs onto the regenerating native forest of Kauri Mountain. It has its own kiwis which you can often hear at dusk and at night time. On your drive in, there is a lovely pond with water lilies, manuka and pasture land with grazing cows.


Perfectly located to experience the best of Whangārei Heads, you'll be just minutes from some of Northland's most spectacular beaches and outdoor adventures.

There are many activities for you to do at Whangarei Heads, and indeed the surrounding area, from visiting beautiful beaches and swimming, horse riding and walks and hikes to Mount Manaia, Bream Head, Smugglers Cove, and the famous Te Whara Track for some scenic exploring.

You will find Golf at The Pines Golf Club – visitors are welcome and the course has harbor views. There are golf clubs in the Bach that you are free to use, and also a guitar is at your disposal. Enjoy a picnic or BBQ by the water or fish and chips from the awesome Mcleod Bay Fish and Chips. Visit local cafés and eateries around Parua Bay, and of course dinner at the Local Parua Bay Tavern.

Look out for dolphins and other marine life around the harbor and coastline.
Take a day trip into Whangārei for cafés, shops, the Town Basin, galleries and attractions.
