Water pump nightmare

The property was clean & comfortable. However... there were three things very wrong with the house: WORST of the three- the water well pump is in the laundry room along with a water softener system. In the middle of the night the water softener system would regenerate & cause the well pump to run on & off for at least an hour!!!! It was as if someone was starting a truck engine right by my head over & over at 2:00 in the morning- every night! I tried to call the contact #, but it went right to a message saying “no voicemail has been set up”. 2) The water temperature does not get above tepid - so no hot shower or bath - only mildly warm. 3) no directions on how to use the entertainment/tv system- tried for the first part of the first day & decided I’d not come there to be frustrated so gave up. I did message the host & the response was they didn’t know. I’ve never been to a rental where there weren’t written directions for guests. I’m not happy with the outcome of this rental.

Adorable house

Very nice place overall just a couple hiccups

On the day of arrival I received a message via vrbo that the house had no hot water but was supposed to be warm (it was not). Property manager was concerned & was waiting at the property when we got there to explain the situation. Was a little hard to communicate because she is deaf so she had to be super close to read your lips which was scary considering covid. Eventually we texted back & forth so she could explain the plan. Upon entering the house we discovered a lot of flys & brown bugs flying around. We killed at least 40 bugs our first night. We then discovered a window was left open in the twin bedroom & there was no screen. Hoping that fixed the problem, it did not. Realizing the light in the kitchen by the window attracted them & seemed they were getting in that way through a cracked seal. We purchased bug spray & sprayed around the window inside & out & this helped! Back to the water problem; she was able to get someone to come over late Tuesday night. The fuse that was replaced did not fix the problem so we were without hot water for another day. She ended up having oil filled in the tank (which she said was for emergency) & it worked thankfully. Wednesday evening we were finally able to bathe without warming up water. Thank god for the big pots that were there to get warm water. It was very inconvenient especially since my daughter had dance nationals several days we were without water. She did offer a refund of $90. Not sure if that was enough considering the situation. Regardless of the hiccups the place is gorgeous & the country is peaceful & I would return.

Great stay

The home appeared to be recently remodeled and modernized. Gorgeous! The house was clean and ready to stay in. 30 minutes away from the city was perfect for quiet evenings. Sera reached out on a couple of occasions to ensure we had everything we needed. 5 stars!

Loved this property!

The house was lovely. The decor was soothing and stylish. It felt welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was set up with just about any tools you’d need for cooking or baking. The area was quiet and the gazebo was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or visit. So glad we found this. Was pleased to show my brother and sister-in-law who are local so they could recommend to other friends/family who come to visit their area.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our vacation the day of because our son and his wife tested positive for Covid. After some initial confusion, our host was very understanding about our cancelation. I gave 5 stars in our rating because I didn't think it fair to rate any less even though we did not stay.

Beautiful getaway location

Quiet residence with everything you need away from home. Close to shopping and anything you may need. Nicely decorated with everything new - appliances, comfortable furnishings and well-maintained. Owner available and easy to communicate with. Thank you for sharing your home.

Immaculate and beautifully furnished home

I cannot say enough good things about this property. I was initially hesitant since it is a newer listing but this is a lovely home that has been beautifully renovated and decorated. Everything we needed was there, the pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked and immaculate. The beds were comfortable and the decor was really impressive. The bathroom is stunning. We were very comfortable for three nights, we were in the Salisbury area visiting family. Have already recommended the property to other family members. There is a gazebo out in the yard, and we loved being able to enjoy being outdoors. Highly recommend if you want to be close to the beaches but prefer a quiet location away from the crowds. The host was super easy to work with, check in and out was easy. We hope to visit again over the summer and would love to stay again.

Cozy Farmhouse near the beach!

Comfy, cozy living room. LOVE the bathtub 🛁 The view from the kitchen windows is breathtaking! Perfect place to stay when going to OC for a beach day 🏖 Thank you for a lovely mini vacay.

What a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation place.

Serafima was very warm, welcoming, and friendly host. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The house was very clean and well stocked. We could not have asked for a better location. Overall, a wonderful place; we would love to come back again!
