Parrita Paradise

Sweet little place (plenty of room for 2 adults with children) located on a rural, romantic, beautiful beach. We rented their big house, too, so 8 adults spent a fantastic week at this very special location. Wildlife is abundant, as are the kind, generous, and helpful locals. Walking distance to 2 little markets with abundant supplies. Local restaurants are walkable and GOOD. Not to be missed: ask Nancy and Lorenzo to connect you with Christian who will secure transportation, adventures, and even prepare delicious meals for you. This concierge treatment is unbeatable for both price and value! And, the lady across the driveway entrance can also cook for you- outstanding authentic Costa Rica cuisine. Sunsets and sunrises are among the most stunning we have ever witnessed. The tides provide excellent rock adventures (low tide) and fabulous swimming and surfing (high tide). Avid walkers, we spotted dozens of Macaws, monkeys, and more natural wonders. So grateful to Nancy and Lorenzo for sharing this piece of paradise with us.

Wonderful little house

This home is situated just behind a beachfront home with its own private beach access. The house was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well. The town is nice and not touristy at all, more quiet and local feeling although there are expats living nearby. The host and his local point of contact Lorenzo were exceptional to work and interact with. Lorenzo may not tell you but be aware he is a chef so you may be able to reach out to him for private cooking, if we had known we would have hired him. The beach in front of the house has excellent waves for short and longboard surfing, and an area which fills with little tide pools at low tide for decent swimming with safer currents. The only issue we had with the house was no hot water pressure in the shower. The property manager immediately had a plumber come to the house and tried everything possible to fix it but ultimately we had to use hot water from a bucket and a cup if we wanted a hot shower. I have all faith that by the time you read this review that issue will be fixed, but id ask first if this is a priority for you.

Wonderful accommodations off the beaten path

We greatly enjoyed our time here. Everything was comfortable and clean. Great to cook meals, as well as try out the restaurants within walking distance. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. The town was not crowded and very safe to walk about. Would definitely recommend this beautiful home.

Hermoso lugar

Privado, exclusivo para los huéspedes. Perfecto para vacacionar en su burbuja sin contacto por la pandemia. El lugar, limpio, completamente equipado. Los encargados de la administración son unos jóvenes super amables y solucionan todas tus dudas y posibles problemas de inmediato! Muy cerca de la playa. El pueblo cuenta con un supermercado con todo lo q puedas necesitar y más y una pizzería deliciosa! Muy recomendado

Just Perfect!

Our family of 4 had a great time staying at the Pelicanitos! The house was perfect for our family. The property managers were very helpful and made our stay easy. The beach is gorgeous and perfect for kids. Highly recommend Almendros for dinner and lunch!

This is a great place!

It is a very nice place,and a good location. The house is pretty small but comfy. The property managers were very helpful and flexible with the check in and checkout hours. Thanks a lot. We really enjoyed our stay!

This trip was too short! The apartment was very clean and the tile is beautiful! The air conditioning worked great. The location makes a very short walk to La Sirena bar/Resteruant. Felipe took care of the only glitch, instantly. No TP😳. Macaws and a couple toucans hang out in the trees in the front of the property! Super cool! I would rent this again for a shorter trip again. Thank you!

The beach is very near (100m) you can hear the ocean. The pool is not deep(1.3m) kids can play fine. Kitchen stuff is just the basics.

The perfect Getaway

House is spotless-clean and seems to be recently built. Found everything in working order. There are a number of good restaurants and a well-stocked store nearby in the village which was very convenient! Mind that the provided kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans are very basic in case you plan on cooking your own meals. Liked the little pool. Had a great stay!

Paradise found!

This property was exactly as pictured and so much more! The booking process was seamless. The property manager is available 24 seven to make any arrangements you and your family might like. This home was perfect for our family of four during our first family trip to Costa Rica. It is perfectly located right on the Pacific ocean with a beautiful swimming pool to help you cool off. Esther Rios Oeste is a very small town but the convenient store is about two blocks away. Two very nice restaurants are also within walking distance. So are surfboard rentals. During our stay, we saw scarlet macaws, wild parakeets, monkeys, red squirrels and egrets. There were also many other tropical birds. Mangoes drop from the trees on the property and you can hear the sound of the waves from the balcony. The home is about 20 minutes to Hakko which has plenty of shopping, restaurants and souvenir places. To the self is the Manuel Antonio national Park. While staying at this home, we also went to the nearby CR Beach Barn for a horseback ride on the beach at sunset that was absolutely breathtaking. We also went white water rafting and stopped at a waterfall through Unique Tours. However, any activities can also be booked through Felipe or Danny who work with the property owner. This place could not be lovelier. Even the family that lives behind this house was very friendly. Pura Vida!

Exactly as advertised

This property is a guest house on top of a garage just one property away from the beach. Danny and Felipe the local managers were very responsive and made us feel very comfortable. There are two bedrooms one with 4 beds one with one Queen. The bedroom with 4 beds 2 bunks there's a kitchen Dinette and Wi-Fi. We had our own full but when the front property was not occupied they allowed us to cut through Straight to the beach and use the other pool that was very nice. Make sure to ask for a hose so you can wash off when you come back from the beach. Esterillos Oeste is is a typical Costa Rican town on the beach not too busy beautiful homes next to homes that have not become so beautiful yet everybody feel safe there's a little store and restaurants around it's really a great place.

Beautiful new house with everything you need for a fantastic holiday!

We rented this house for my mom and we had the main house. It worked excellent as she had her own space. The house itself is very nice and has everything you need. The caretakers, Felicia and Felipe are amazing! Friendly and helpful! . We loved this little town and hope to return one day! Super friendly, quiet, and beautiful beach!
