"Stayed here for a night before a Doubtful Sound cruise. The location was perfect (right down the street from the RealNZ ferry). The facilities were simple but very comfy. Right along the water with multiple paths around the grounds. Felt like a cool little community with many different travelers. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to this area!"

"The lodge is located in a very remote location, despite of getting groceries are so inconvenient, Blake showed great generosity and hospitality to all the guests, make us feel like staying in an old friend's house.
Kitchen, bathroom, and bed linen are of 5-stars clean. If you're planning to go on the Hump Ridge Track, choose Rarakau Lodge for your pre-departure accommodation is definitely the best option. "

"It’s my earth vision of heaven. I loved the peace and quiet that is hard to find these days. I had some of the best sleeps of my life there. The air is so clean. It was amazing to wake up in the morning briefing so light and easy, and without a headache. My melatonin working on its own. My body just feeling the nature and the energy of the place.
