"Set in a beautiful village this accomodation stands out withbits exterior decor. Parking is a short walk away and not onsite but this isnt gar and not a problem. We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. "Check in was easy we were greeted and shown to our room, parking on site is always a bonus. The house is spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. "We stayed at The Hideaway for 3 nights in August. Unfortunately the weather was very changeable so we couldn’t enjoy the outside surroundings very much as took advantage of the dry parts to explore. "We had an excellent 3 nights at Lyndale’s guest house. The host Allison answered all our questions about the village of Ambleside. Breakfast was generous. She gave us a parking pass free of charge to a lot that’s about 2 minutes away by walking. 10 minutes away (walking) from the center. Would definitely recommend !"
