"Typical mid-range, rural conference hotel. Archaic procedures that required you to head to the reception every single time that you wanted to use fitness facilities or pool. Correct, if not very friendly service. Overpriced, but decent restaurant (besides the pub five minutes walk away, the only dining option around here). Hotel had just reopened after holidays so Wi-Fi wasn't functioning for the first 24 hours. Blimey."

"The lodge was quite good in terms of cleanliness,environment,and amenities in the room was good.The staff{Amand)was quite good,respectful and always attended to my needs.My only concerns during my three days stay was the type of people that stays in the hotel.In my second night stay,i had some policemen knocking furiously on the door next to me.This was exactly 03.15am.I couldnt get back to sleep after all the noise and shouting. "Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. All this topped with an ample parking space. Last, but certainly not least, the caring and welcoming staff just make it a must to want to go back."

"Recently thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at The Old Vicarage, having visited in Sept 2025, I immediately booked again for Feb 2026. Once again the location was idyllic, our room and shared kitchen were excellent.
