The location is excellent, the nature is beautiful, and the house is a charming mix of old and new. Everything we needed for a great stay was there.If I may share just a couple of friendly thoughts: a little more lighting in the kitchen would be very helpful, and the lakes around the house, which are already such a gem, could become even more amazing with a bit of improvement.Overall, the house and the surroundings have huge potential, and it really feels like Bruce is on the right path. Wishing you the best of luck!

Once you drive into the property, you are greeted with a beautiful view of the home. The pond and geese with little ones in tow were on full display. Our grandkids were able to catch(and release) sunfish, chase frogs and a water snake while we used the outdoor fireplace to make sandwiches and s’mores. We also enjoyed the front porch, especially in the morning.As for the inside of the house, it’s very dated, but you can see that in the listing pictures and we didn’t mind that at all. The master bed was comfortable, the twin beds, not so much for adults. The bathrooms had plenty of everything.On to the kitchen, it only had one ceiling light, way too dark for these old eyes. However, it was stocked with everything needed, (we did have to wash a lot of things before using due to a film) again, with dated stuff. We could live with that too!!We paid for the hot tub but only used it once. Being a master klutz, I had a hard time getting in and out with the movable stairs. Overall, with a lot less notes, maybe some newer pots and pans with cleaner kitchen amenities and a few brighter lights this would have been a 5 star stay for us. These things matter to us and may not be an issue for others. It is definitely peaceful, safe and quiet.Bruce was always responsive and seemed to genuinely care that you enjoy their home.

A real vacation

An amazing place to stay, the views were breathtaking, I was able to experience some fantastic runs on the open roads around the area. The cabin definitely convinced me of coming back!

Slice of Paradise

This is a beautiful log home tucked away off the road with acres of hiking and several ponds, and exactly what I was looking for. This week was flaming hot so most of our time was spent inside, as my 2 elderly pups couldn't go on long walks in the heat any more than I could. The amount of work and love that the owners have put into making their home special is palpable. We were fortunate to have met the owners, amazing people. Can't wait to come back! Thx Bruce and Caryn. And wait til you see the night sky!

Well appointed cabin

It rained but we were well taken care of in the cabin. Lots of space for family to be rather the stuck in close quarters and then when sun came out front deck / yard was lovely. Well appointed cabin- everything you could think of was at hand in the kitchen. Great stay!

Eclipse trip

We booked this house for our Family Eclipse Trip and it was perfect! We had everything we needed. House was clean, check in was easy, hosts were available for any questions we had at any time of our stay. Perfect place to see the eclipse. This is definitely a core memory our whole family has made!!!

Group going Salmon fishing

The place was located perfectly for our group salmon fishing trip. Clean and layout was great for our needs. The only downfall was the rain. We are booking again with Bruce. The communication on checking in and out was fantastic.

The log ranch had spaces with enough room for all 8 of us to gather together for meals and games. There were several locations inside and out for privacy as desired. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all we needed to prepare great meals. Outside lawns were perfect for bocce games and the collection of Adirondack chairs scattered around and the deck furniture made outdoor living very pleasant. The weather was hot but the pond was ideal for a swim to cool off. Inside temperatures were ideal.

Quick vacation

The floors were being redone in our house so we had to find another place to stay for 6 days that would allow us to bring our Golden Retriever, Max. The house was perfect. 4 ponds for the kids and dog to play in. Beautiful property with a lot of wildlife to sit and watch. We were able to relax and enjoy our mini vacation.

Home away from home

The location of Bruce & Caryn's property is great. Even though there are neighbors nearby, they have enough acreage that you don't realize they are there. We had plenty of lawn space to play the outdoor games we had brought with us. The 2 ponds right outside the front door of the property are nice to look at, but we also used them for cooling down on the hot days. Because the ponds are on the smaller side, we looked up nearby lakes/boat launches to use our kayaks. We had everything we needed including all kitchen conveniences, bedding, towels, etc. Walmart and fast food options were close by and any activity we considered was within 20 minutes. While we were there we went to a state park with a beach and did an escape room at Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse. The hot tub was a huge plus, especially since it rained a couple of days during our stay. The back screened in porch (with the hot tub) was perfect for playing games and just hanging out. Bruce was very responsive and kept us apprised of his need to come to the property to pick up some items he needed for a family situation while we there. There was one thing that happened that was a little disappointing. Bruce had provided us with directions on how to get to a creek on the property. We followed the directions but ended up having to turn back. After walking through the woods for a while, following the orange and yellow ties on the trees, we never found a path that led right to the creek.

Salmon run fishing trip

Property is beautiful, close to local fishing spots. Owners are friendly and have a open line of communication. Also a fisherman’s dream cabin with the family. Very happy and relaxed with our stay. The home feels like your own home. Close to fast food, gas station and Walmart ! The area is very friendly to all which I appreciated such friendliness. Overall price is far for what you get. Safe for children! Would highly recommend.

Brothers Bachelor Party

Me and nine other guys got together for my brothers bachelor party and this property let us have a great time we did use an air mattress to accommodate all of us and it was certainly cozy but for the price and property it was perfect. The lawn was great for yard games, campfire made delicious s’mores, and the hot tub was the perfect way to wind down. Would definitely stay again.

Serene and relaxing

Had a wonderful stay. The property feels very remote (although there are neighbors a ways off that we can't see). Didn't see another person the whole time. We have 2 dogs that loved playing in the pond. Very dog friendly property. We took walks in the woods, time in the hot tub, lots of relaxing, reading and just spending quiet time watching the incredible scenery.

Peaceful Cabin

The bottom line is that this was a great experience! We stayed here during the week of my daughter's graduation from Syracuse University. Bruce and Caryn were very responsive to our questions and went out of their way to help us change the dates due to unforeseen circumstances. (Thanks again). The home was very clean with ample towels and clear house rules and directions. AC worked very well, and we made use of the available gas grille. The property is secluded and private but not remote and is within a 10-minute ride to stores and gas. There are plenty of amenities to keep you occupied or you can just take in the beauty of the site as we did by sitting on the front deck. My 2 yr. old granddaughter quickly found the available toys which she spent hours in the rear porch playing with. The pictures accurately show the property so if you like them, stay here we’re glad we did.

Peaceful and very relaxing...

The house and property were absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean and well taken care of... The only down side, if we had to say; was the distance to where we had to drive to fish. That being said, for the time of year we we're up there, the scenery made up for the 10 to 12 minute ride. Overall an A++ place to stay. Bruce and Caryn are Dynamite host!
