Owner’s lies almost ruined our vacation. Seriously! Two days before our trip, I still hadn’t received check-in information (despite the site saying they send it three days prior). I messaged the owner who told me they would provide it on the day of check-in. Trusting them, I waited patiently, but still hadn’t received anything when I got to the airport. Less than two hours before my flight left, the owners told me they couldn’t give me the information since they hadn’t received payment. Two problems (1) the payment had already hit my credit card so the issue was likely on their end, (2) instead of lying to me when I first reached out, they should have immediately told me the issue so I could have resolved it before I was about to board! I spent the next two hours at the airport thinking we would be arriving late at night with nowhere to stay and frantically trying to contact them - the link they sent didn’t work, the WhatsApp number repeatedly went to voicemail, and they ignored my messages for over an hour! Luckily my plane was delayed. As my plane was taxiing, I gave up trying to work through them, contacted VRBO. While I was in the air, my husband called only to find out THERE WAS NO ISSUE. (Could it be that in the hour when they never responded to me, they resolved their own mistake??) On a positive note, the location was good and the unit was nice. We enjoyed our stay despite the upfront stress the owners caused.
