Spring break, rescheduled to this quiet, clean, new house near the beach

Head spring break scheduled in Panama City Beach. Unfortunately the condo association there decided to start construction early. So we had to make a last-minute reschedule. Found this property. It's about a quarter mile from the beach. New house, everything was super clean. Had almost everything we needed. Very few Complaints or concerns. Just a few little things that would make the stay better. Did contact the management company and they weren't too helpful. And the last day as we were packing up, the owner came by as he cut the lawn himself. Frank was pretty cool while we talked.Except for the fact that he is an Ohio State and Auburn. Except for the fact that he is an Ohio State and Auburn fan… Boo. Love the area because as a result of the hurricane in 2018 everything here is brand new. Slow relaxed pace. No touristy stuff.

This home was exactly as advertised. Very attractive and spacious. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Mexico Beach is a perfect gateway for families looking for a break from the tourist crowds and this home was a gem.

House was nice. Neighborhood was central location but alot of watching eyes. Kids couldn’t enjoy the golf cart or the pool.

Beautiful place didn’t like running out of dishwasher detergent pods and office would only give 3 and give no more. Luckily saw a housekeeper and she gave a few more for stay. What an angel. Pool lovely and clean but a few ants and needed to be sprayed otherwise nice . Didn’t like a Karen lady in pool telling my grandaughter not to drink a small plastic drink at edge of pool . I guess she owned the pool. Otherwise nice peaceful stay and hopefully can come back again

Would recommend

Clean and well stocked home in a quiet neighborhood very close to the beach. They had a pack n play and other supplies for infants/ children. We also brought our two dogs (the yard is not fenced but is well kept and the dogs enjoyed walking around the small neighborhood). We rented the golf cart which made for an easy trip to the beach and the community pool. Would stay here again.

The neatest, cleanest rental house ive ever stayed in...

This even was wonderful, comfortable, neat as a pin and smelled as clean as it was; our stay was for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I will definitely be renting this home again.

Wonderful

Our family had a great week at this property. My favorite thing was the cleanliness and how well maintained the home was overall. The towels and linens were very nice. Having access to beach chairs was a plus. The neighborhood is charming and the walk to the beach was easy.

Comfortable, quiet and clean

This was our first visit to Mexico beach so expectations were a little up in the air. The house was fantastic. Clean and ready when we arrived. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the beach as advertised. You could drive, walk or make it easy and rent the golf car as we did. Very convenient. The food options in town were limited but Port St Joe and Cape San Blas are close by car with more to choose from. We will definitely be back! Quiet town, plenty of space on the beach and great views driving down the coast.

Lovely home

Overall, this home was perfect, clean, adorable with all the amenities that I look for during my annual stay in Mexico beach. Few things I would suggest for the owners: - more beach towels. Our group was 6 people and we were only provided 4 towels. - ensure necessities are stocked. Dishwasher soap and coffee had to be purchased ourselves when the listing states they provide the first round of these items including paper towels. - provide more activities for guests. After a long day at the beach or pool, guests often want to come back to a chill evening playing board games or card games, especially families. We ended up buying our own and took home with us. Some people fly into the city and may not have the same ability to take purchased items home upon check out. - ensure wifi and everything on the property is working properly during clean up. An electrical storm knocked out the wifi prior to our stay and they were unable to get a technician out to fix before our stay ended. We resorted to hot spots on our phone for tv and music which in turn didn’t work effectively the whole time due to throttling. Aside from these suggestions, the stay was perfect, communication was great and I would stay again. Thank you so much!!

Had a great stay at the pink flamingo

We loved staying at the pink flamingo. The house was very comfortable. It was clean and new and had everything we needed. The beach access was close and easy especially when we used the golf cart. We really enjoyed are stay and we will definitely come back!

Great Family Getaway

Our family (two parents, one grandmother, one 7 year old boy) had an incredible stay at the Pink Flamingo. The home is very spacious! The three bedrooms and beds were comfortable and adorably decorated. Each had a very spacious closet and dresser. There were a good assortment of kitchen items even if extra storage was a bit limited there. The outdoor shower was nice to wash off the sand before coming in. We enjoyed renting the golf cart to get around to the nearby market and liquor store. By the time we left we felt like locals. It is unfortunate that they do not allow the golf cart across Highway 98, but we made due parking very close then just toting our things across the two Lane road to the beach. (And clearly this was not unique to our golf cart, the rule is from the city.) The pool area was tidy and accommodating. They have a closet full of pool toys and clean restrooms. We had a minor issue with the kitchen sink (possibly user error) but they were quick to come sort it out for us. Mexico Beach is a charming small town. We were thrilled to leave behind the crowds and traffic of the Destin area. We always felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. They are still rebuilding after Hurricane Michael, so many of the lunch places were food truck style. But the food we had was also fresh and amazing! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful. Having the golf cart access was amazing. The only negative thing I can say is that the tv in the living room is a smart tv and no access no dish/cable with local channels. We do not have logins for Netflix, Huly, etc so we could not watch any tv. Nice and quiet location.

Great stay for the family

This location was very nice for us as a family of 4. Plenty of room, very clean, and host was very responsive to questions. While it is located within distance to Mexico Beach we also found it to be a good midpoint if you want to take a drive to the Port and up to Cape San Blas. Would stay again. Great to see this area building back up the way it is!
