Overall, we had a wonderful time and everything was great. The condo was beautiful, the balcony had tons of space, and we loved that we found a place with two king size beds!
There were a couple of hiccups along the way, but nothing major and the property manager addressed any concerns immediately.
The only major complaint we have is about the elevators. There are only 3 for the entire property, and we waiting no less than 20 minutes each time we needed to use it. Traveling with an 8 month old and waiting that long to get to/from the beach or car does not end well. Checkout was a bit of a disaster with so many people trying to leave at the same time. We were crammed in the elevator and as we stopped in each floor on our way down, there was a collective sigh of frustration from other guests who were trying to depart as well.
Other than that, only two other things stand out:
1. When we made the reservation, we were told we had one reserved parking space in the main deck. Upon arrival, there was a sign that said all parking was first-come first-served. Not a huge deal, and had nothing to do with the rental company - it was Ocean Reef as a whole (they were painting the parking deck). They didn’t even tell their full time tenants this was happening, and many had to park across or down the street in overflow. We did get a nasty note placed on our car from another guest for parking in “their” spot (even though the signs indicated it was a free for all).
2. As we were getting ready for bed on our first night, we turned back the sheets and found several hairs in the bed. I understand it happens occasionally, and had it been one hair, I would have let it go. But there were several and it was too late to strip the bed, wash, and dry everything. I contacted the property manager and they drove new sheets to the condo for us and apologized for the inconvenience. I was really impressed with how they handled that situation. We didn’t arrive until after 9pm and they hand delivered fresh sheets to us at 10pm. They also knew we had our 8 month old with us and texted instead of knocking to ensure they didn’t wake him up.
