From the time we arrived to our early check out, this resort was an absolute mess. The staff at the front desk were rude and the direction weren’t clear that we could bypass the front desk for check in. After waiting for 15 minutes then speaking to a very rude woman we proceeded to the parking garage across the street to get a luggage cart. After we unloaded our car and 18 month old we had to then wheel back over a pedestrian bridge to our tower and room. An elevator was out so getting an elevator took well over 7 minutes. No one was working at the resort or as guests were practicing any COVID safety precautions. Elevators were packed and not a single individual was wearing a mask nor were they socially distancing. Once we got to the room, the pictures didn’t match what we saw. The desk was missing in the bunk bed rooms, there was sand all over the floors, the oven was rusted, there were lightbulbs out in the kitchen and bathrooms, the walls were filthy and covered in dirt, and paint was chipped in several rooms and on doors. The amenities of the property were run down and beat up and and again did not look at all what the pictures portray. We actually checked out early due to the lack of COVID precautions, the amenities of the property and another elevator had broken causing people to pack in like sardines. We were on the 16th floor so it was very challenging to not get an elevator especially with a toddler.
The one good thing is that Tracy, the property manager was responsive but couldn’t do anything for us. I have contacted Evolve Vacation Rental every day since Thursday October 15, 2020with no response nor any person to speak directly to on the phone. That, to me, is completely unacceptable.
I will never book through this company, nor will I ever stay at this resort ever again. They are rude and careless so don’t waste your money.
