The condo was perfect - clean and equipped with everything we needed plus ocean views and just steps to the beach. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Daily beach chair service and the included daily activities were amazing. There was only a wait for the elevators during peak times.

Location was excellent close to different things to do. 4 Star followed up during our stay to ensure our vacation was up to expectations. Place was very clean and accommodated our needs nicely. The two bedrooms had king beds one with a firm mattress and the other with a soft one. It worked for us but it is good to know ahead of time.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting for elevators up to 40 minutes each time you get on! Also beach is very crowded you have to get up early, before 7, to secure a spot if you’re getting beach chairs and umbrella with your unit you have to stand in line everyday to request your chair and none of front row chairs are available so you end up way back on the beach behind a lot of people

Just a warning before you stay

Never be in a hurry to get any where at this property. Anytime we needed an elevator it took a long time. One wait was almost an hour. Im okay with the stairs, but my mom who has a cane could not walk down 7 flights.

Beautiful condo!

The condo was super clean . The check in process was easy. Only complaint I have is the elevators. They were extremely slow and had to wait long periods of time. They really need to fix this problem. Hard to take to toddlers up and down 7 flights of stairs.

Was great

Property was very well maintained, everything in room was clean and great. One remote had dead batteries an someone was sent up very quickly to fix. The view was beautiful, did notice there are security on the beach and asked us to move our umbrella up legit 5 inches , Only issue we had was the sliding glass door was harder to open , and the middle elevators was slower, we went to the one at the end of the hall and was much quicker.

Review

Had no issues with the rental management company FourStar Condo rentals. The resort itself was the issue. 30 minutes to an hour for an elevator. Pools where in need of cleaning all week. Clumps of hair and other trash floating in it everyday. Would suggest that the resort go to a staggered check in as it was a nightmare with everyone only being able to check in at one time. Something to also consider when renting that I did not, the fact that the parking garage is on the opposite side of the street. The only walk over is on level 2 of the parking garage, so if you are not parked on level 2 then it is another elevator wait to be able to get to condos. Not a deal breaker, just an FYI for other renters.

If u need an elevator u better not wait start walk down

Elevator situation is horrible. Mattress in one of bedroom is so worn out it sinks in middle. Furniture is all old and out dated and they have a couch cover over couch. Screen door u have to be super strong to open over all I wouldn't recommend it

PC Rental

The leasing agent needs to prepare the renter for the check in process at Tidewater. It is confusing & very aggravating. The doors to the balcony are extremely heavy & hard to open. Televisions had Roku so was confusing. But mainly Condo Complex check in process should always be explained.

Clean looking rental infested with roaches from the patio doors to the bedrooms, mainly the kitchen

Checked into rental, looked around rental, on the surface, everything was clean except the white couch needs to be cleaned. While in the kitchen 2 small roaches were spotted crawling in the stove clock panel. I called 4star condo office 8502487857. I was told Tidewater maintenance had to handle the problem because Tidewater has a contract with Orkin. Tidewater or Orkin never ever came. Monday evening walk into the kitchen roaches were crawling from behind the stove, refrigerator, & pantry area. I called the 8502487857 number again. There was no answer. I sent a text to Harry the owner via the VRBO app. I sent an email with pictures of the roaches to 4star condo on Monday night. I received no response from Harry or the enaill. During my stay I never heard from Harry even though I was told on 4 different occasions Harry would contact me & did know about the situation and actually did care. I contacted 4 star condo @ 8502487857 on Tuesday & Wednesday. I talked to Alease & Carrie. I was told again Tidewater would handle the situation & Harry was not in the office but would contact me. Lonnie a contractor from 4star condo came to the unit on Tuesday afternoon and stated his hands were tied. All he could do was put down sticky tape. I showed him where the roaches were coming from. He put down 5 pieces of sticky tape two under the stove & 3 behind the refrigerator. When he moved the refrigerator roaches were scurrying everywhere. Lonnie called 4star condo to report the issue and was told Orkin had come out Monday, the day I checked in. Lonnie said there's no way they came and sprayed if all the roaches were still alive 24 hours later. Before leaving Lonnie stated Orkin would be coming to spray the unit. Wednesday Carrie came after work to spray the unit because Orkin never came .Carrie came armed with 2 cans of bug spray. She stated Tidewater said Orkin wouldn't be able to come out. Carrie sprayed the whole unit especially the kitchen. She wanted me to follow-up with her on Thursday on her day off about the bug situation. She stated that Harry was aware and would contact me. I let Carrie know on Thursday there were still roaches but not nearly as many as before approximately 40 dead roches. She stated the unit would need another spray & have a safe trip home. If this is your idea of a vacation book this unit. I don't know if Harry really exists because I still haven't heard from him.

Relaxing

The location is very convenient. Everything from the staff, the lobby to the room was on point! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Definitely planning another trip in the near future (hopefully) and staying in the same room. My kids and I loved it!

Great Girls getaway

The six of us graduated high school together 40 years ago. We vacation together at least once a year and get together once a quarter. This was a good property to enjoy being together. It's close to the "Y" and the traffic flow is less there here.

Perfect

We had a great time. The location was perfect, I don’t think I’d want to stay any higher than the 7th floor. The elevators are very slow at times so we took the stairs most of the time unless we were carrying heavy stuff. The owner responded very quickly when I needed her. The condo was clean and the view was awesome! Would definitely stay here again.

Family Beach Trip

We had a wonderful trip! The beach is my favorite place to escape to. This was our first time staying at Tidewater Resort. Employees were friendly and helpful. Check in and out were easy and had no problems. The property owner was excellent and super helpful! Great communication!

Great condo

The condo was nice and as advertised. Beautiful views, gorgeous beach. Owners were friendly and responsive to all our questions. Had to wait on elevators for a bit, but that wasn’t anyone’s fault, simply the busiest time of year (mid-July). Since condo was on 7th floor, taking the stairs was an easy alternative to slow elevators. Great condo for the price! Would def book it again or recommend to friends.

Overall enjoyable

The property managers were excellent and informative when we needed anything and usually very quick to respond. The condo was perfect for our family and fit everyone’s needs. It also came with a great view! The only negative we had with the resort was the elevators were incredibly slow! We opted for the stairs when we could- but with 4 kids (2 of which are under the age of 2) it was a little frustrating. Overall it was a great trip, and we would be back!
