It is always great to be at the beach. The beach was beautiful. The new ramp they built access to the beach was great. When we finally got to use it. On Thursday. They keep the grounds up well. The condo itself was adequate. It needs to be updated. The decorations were antiquated. The swimsuits on the wall were creepy. Even so. We enjoyed our stay.

This place was great. The location was the best part but the unit itself had everything we needed. The place was clean and decorated very nicely. The mattress for the bottom bunk is pretty worn out and there was a miscommunication where I didn't receive the parking info until I called but other than that everything was perfect and we would love to stay again.

Great place.

Only things we could recommend would be replacing the master bed mattress, it is caved in and not level. The garbage disposal was not working. Otherwise the property was outstanding and we have no conplaints. Thanks Realjoy for providing a great rental property for our family to vacation in.

Great location and unit!

We stayed in a unit on 6th floor at Calypso Towers. The unit was beautifully decorated. Beds were 2 kings and 2 bunk beds and they are extremely comfortable. Communication was very good before arriving to the unit so we had no issues getting checked in. Didn’t need them during our stay. Only issue we had during our stay was the master bathroom shower squealing while the shower was going but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall our stay was excellent and will definitely stay again!!!

Loved everything about the property except the fact that it didn’t have any basic kitchen essentials. I think salt, pepper, sugar, etc should be available. Other than that, very happy.

Spring Break 2022

It was clean and property manger was helpful. However the first day we had water everywhere in the kitchen and a pot was under the sink as if the problem was known. The garbage disposal Had to be replaced. The second day the dishwasher broke so the rest of vacation we did dishes by hand. The smoke alarm chirped most of the trip but that was fixed on day 5 of 6. I saved all year to try and have a nice vacation and didn’t expect to have so many things break. That’s a lot of money to spend to have so many issues.

We vacationed with 6 adults and 1 child. Although this property is advertised as sleeping 8, it does not accommodate that many. The third bedroom with the bunk beds is so small, the bunks are not made for adults. My niece and her daughter are both under 5’2” and could not sleep comfortably. The furniture is old and stained and the kitchen dishes and glassware is a mismatched hodgepodge. I have stayed at the Calypso before snd will most likely return, but not in this unit.

Girls Trip

6 of us came down for a Girls Trip and overall enjoyed our stay at this property. The condo itself was very clean, but the only complaint about cleanliness is to purchase a new shower caddy in the master bath shower since the current one has mildew all over and smells when showering. The smoke detector in the master bedroom started beeping on our second day in so we called the number provided for maintenance, waited on hold for about 10mins, and were told someone would come that evening to fix it, but no one ever did. We tried to fix it ourselves, and as instructed by the operator, but it wasn't a model that you could safely remove the cover or batteries. The washing machine may need to be maintenanced, as our first load and all others afterwards had handfuls of sand that came out on our clothing each time so we had to remove and rewash the clothing. We never put anything in without thoroughly shaking it out so we think it's built up in the drum from previous uses. The elevators were very slow and the restrooms in the lobby had issues the whole time we were there. We wanted to use the gym provided, but it was very dirty and equipment wasn't working, so we went to a nearby gym instead. Overall, we had a great time at this property and we found ways to deal with the little hiccups along the way. The location was perfect for enjoying the beach or walking down to Pier Park for shopping, good food, and drinks (at Tootsies!) Bartenders, Austin and Mere were so much fun, took great care of us at the tiki bar on the property, and always said hello every time we walked by. The beach chair staff, Tyler, Odie, and Andrew were also wonderful and helped to make our stay on the beach even better! A great location for a getaway with fun nearby!

Had a great week here!

Be sure to take necessities such as toilet paper, dish detergent, trash bags, and paper towels. Otherwise, the unit is very well stocked with utensils in the kitchen, bedding for the sleeper sofa, and they even had beach toys available in the unit. We would recommend this unit and book it again.
