I stayed in unit 809 at Seychelles with my husband and my parents for 1 week in May 2021. Overall we were happy with the unit. The view was absolutely incredible. It lacked the personal touches you get when renting some units, likely because it seems Vacasa owns and manages the unit.
The master bedroom door had what appeared to be a punched hole in it, there were cracked tiles in the living room, and there was a lot of dust build up, in particular in the master bedroom on the walls/lamps. We easily looked over these small things, as they really didn't affect our trip, but they are worth noting.
What we were particularly unhappy with was the customer service. The morning of our checkin, we received details on how to access the unit. This included a code to access the parking garage and a code to access the unit. We were able to access the parking garage without issue. Once we got up to the unit, we used the code in the email to access the unit, but it wasn't working. After several attempts, we called the phone number listed in the email. I explained that our code doesn't work. There was some confusion on the phone, but eventually we were given a new code, one that was much longer and very different from the one in the email.
At one point, my mom was alone in the unit when she heard a knock at the door, and then someone entered the unit. She didn't event have time to react to the knock before the door had opened. She was shocked, but the people who entered said they were with the building looking for a drone that was lost on one of the balconies, and they entered because "all the other units were empty". We were concerned that people could enter the unit without checking for someone first - this was a big privacy concern for us. My dad went down to the office in the garage, since we didn't know where else to go, and they apologized but said it must have been someone from the building HOA. Nothing they could really do. We also tried calling the number Vacasa provided. They took down the info and said they'd call back, but we never did hear back from them regarding this.
Ultimately, these two events, the wrong checkin information and the poor customer service regarding out privacy and security, impacted our review the most. Overall we had a great time, but we just wanted to let other travelers knows about these concerns, in particular those related to privacy/security.
