  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Responsive and flexible

The property is beautiful and right on the beach. Exactly what we were looking for. This was a last minute booking as our original trip to the DR was cancelled due to weather. The owner not only replied quickly to our inquiries but was also able to arrange for us to the book day of, preventing us from having to do an additional hotel stay. We really appreciated this flexibility and it helped make an already hectic start to vacation a lot smoother!!

Nice Condo

We enjoyed the condo very much. The only complaint I have is the closet in the master bedroom was so full of lamps, pillows, and more stuff that I could not hang our clothes. And also every closet had stuff in them. Would be nice if owner cleaned that stuff out of them. And also unit needs a iron. And the pool on tower 1 side was closed all week but the last day and we were really upset about that. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect view!

-Perfect view (especially for fireworks during the 4th) -Spacious, and love the bathrooms. -Dirty-carpet, walls, doors, furniture, blankets -Horrible parking and you have to pay $30 -Long elevator wait times and extremely hot in them, no air. -Internet is horrible -Electric went out twice throughout whole condo -Goodluck figuring out the T.V with 4 remotes and very few channels. -Beds are hard and wore out -You have to pay to use the pool, this is not included in the very expensive price you pay for the condo rental. Which is $20 a bracelet. -You will be locked out of room at the minute it says to check out! We still had a couple of suit cases in the room and I went to throw trash away and couldn't get back in thank goodness my husband was still in there to let me in...or out stuff would have been locked in! When we first walked in there was a soured smell throughout condo. The carpet was very dirty, would not walk on it barefoot. Really no need to replace it, just shampoo it. The furniture was dirty and oily looking we had to place sheets on them to sit down. The dryer still takes forever to dry your clothes, so it hasn't been fixed since the June post I read that had the same issue. Patio lounge chairs again were dirty, would not use them. The finger prints and dirt on all the doors could easily been cleaned off with a wet cloth. There was also no broom, which would have been very handy. Clothes were left in the dryer from the people before. The comforter in the master bedroom was visably dirty. There is also no lights on the balcony at night, literally pitch black. Cleaning staff seems to be failing these owners.

Our stay here was pretty good. The property it sold was very convenient to the pool and beach. Our place was in tower 1 which you can see the beach and pool from our balcony. The bed were ok. I didn't like how the front room you hear everything outside on the street. Cons: I would HIGHLY suggest the owner to change out the carpet, dining room and living room chairs. They were visible disgustingly DIRTY!!! Soon as you walk in your mind would ask why haven't they shampooed the carpet but at this point that wouldn't work. No one wanted to sit in the chairs with their clean clothes on due to how dirty they were. Also, the washer/dryer combo minds well not be in there because it will take 2 days to dry a load of clothes. Again, switch these things out. As a guest who is paying good money to stay at your place, I hated to walk in to dirty looking furniture and carpet. I would expect the same from a hotel of what I'm suggesting.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay after the chaotic move in process. The parking garage and no luggage carts to be found when coming on first day was stressful after a full day of driving. Luckily, we had a beach cart that we used to help carry our items in, otherwise it would have taken twice the time to haul in. The room was just as described except there is no sleeper sofa. The sofa is just for seating, enough room for two adults. Maintenance was awesome, as the A/C went out in our room, they came immediately when i called. We had a great time, enjoyed the beach, watched 2 weddings take place, and listened to the bands near our pool area.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. Condo was clean and big enough for our party of 8 (4 adults, 3 children, 1 baby). Had everything we needed in the kitchen. We loved the view from the balcony. Only downside was the elevator waits almost daily. We would definitely recommend the Grand Panama and this condo.

Not what I expected

The property was fine. The condo?.....not so much. The furniture looked and felt like it come from the dump. The toilet ran constantly. The master bathroom ceiling has mold and mildew covering it entirely. Which had our allergies aggravated the entire week. It has carpet so you can imagine. Just overall pretty disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend.

Amazing View!

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Panama. Our condo was very clean and the check in and out process was fast and easy! The only issue was the dryer didn't dry very well. But other than that it was perfect!

Don’t go here! We stayed 18th floor

Elevator waits some days lines long 15 minute waits Water would stop coming out of the faucet mid shower and not come back on for up to 5 minutes. when you wanted to wash your hands. Trying to make coffee. We didn’t have water ate multiple times every single day. They don’t have the infrastructure to support all the rooms. We also saw a cockroach on the balcony. The comforter was dirty. period blood on it. Carpet stained up, the place was dirty. Dryer didn’t work very well.

Great place

Property was as expected, the main beds need to be updated but overall the condo was in good condition. Great views the worse problem we had was parking. If we left to go eat somewhere there was a 50/50 shot you was going to have a parking spot when you got back, really shouldn’t have to pay for a parking pass. But again great condo would do a return trip. Loved the views from the 18th floor. Thanks

Terrible Service

This was our honeymoon and the rental property was not prepared for guests. The carpet needed cleaning, there was food on the walls, patio floor was sticky and there were smoke stains all over, mold in the ceiling of master bathroom and toilets in both bathrooms rain all day. When we called for assistance our request was ignored and maintenance was not sent out.

Completely disgusting!

Parking is across the street, door code didn’t work, nasty carpet, beds are uncomfortable, toilet runs constantly, ice maker didn’t work, dishwasher overflowed, dryer doesn’t dry, and front desk is zero help. We never plan to come back to Panama. That city is so run down!

Great location

Location is perfect. Easy check in. Did have an issue with the check in process with regards to the code not working but literally took only 30 seconds to hear from Hannah the updated code so no worries there. The carpet and couch were dirty and the couch and mattresses all need to be replaced. The couch was broken and the mattresses all felt like you were sleeping on wood. Otherwise, it was easy going and a great vacation.
