The hosts were kind, gracious & expedient in replies. The condo wasn't Pottery Barn perfect, (which is ok!) yet it was very tasteful & updated and I really enjoyed the layout. Having a washer/dryer inside was A+. The adjacent state park views up & downstairs—beyond the pool & parking lot, 100%. The price point was exceptional & rare and might entice our return. The beach was quiet, private and I liked that it was next to the state park. Being just over the bridge from 30A made the location convenient to Rosemary & Inlet beaches.
However, if you're looking for a 30A-type experience, this really isn't it. While the condo was updated, the 7-story main building is old and not updated. The sand and surf were rough and difficult to walk on. Beachgoers had to navigate a short, steep sand cliff down to the wet shoreline, which was short in width.
It's not the fine white sand that you'd find at next door Inlet Beach/other 30A beaches. We ended up driving 30 minutes to all our favorite shopping and restaurants on 30A. We're not fans of the Panama City Beach vibe. (Each to their own—I have friends who *are* PCB fans.) There was a smattering of that vibe here, but not in comparison to driving down into PCB, which we did for a movie.
It was nice that the beach was at the very tail end of PCB & next to a state park, akin to Grayton Beach. The new construction behind Pinnacle Point high rises (which are most 4-5 stories only) was nice, quiet and reminded me of Watercolors.
