  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Great property. Looked just as listed. Right on beach with large balcony. Close to everything. My only complaint is the king size bed was very uncomfortable.

This is a nice little condo! Upon arrival, it was nice and clean. The master bathroom could use a bit of updating. There appeared to be water damage at the bottom left corner of the cabinet. Also, the master bedroom door lock is broken. But overall, we had a great stay! A few things to note (these are details that I like to know before booking). There are 5 units on each floor (21 floors total) and this unit is second to the last one on the left. It’s not directly across from the elevators. There are 3 elevators, one of which was not working while we were there. But even then, we never waited long at all. I like that this building doesn’t have an actual office. You don’t have to wait to check in, you just go directly to your unit. The pool is huge and so nice! And it really is like a private beach, the public beach access is not close to this building, and there was never a ton of people in our area. There is an adorable little cafe and bakery directly across the street that we went to everyday. The food is delicious and everyone is so friendly. There are other restaurants and shops across the street too, we loved this particular location. The management company, book that condo, was great to work with! We will definitely come here again.

Great stay

We had a great stay! With the property management you have to hand sign the agreement and not having a printer was kinda inconvenient. Had to go by the office before going to the condo. Once to the condo, we found out it was a parking garage and we have a Tahoe with a roof rack so we had to unpack everything plus take the rack off to fit.. main bedroom didn’t have a door that locked.. other than that everything was great. Property was clean.. huge balcony.. great for 3/4 kids..

Our stay

I love coming to PCB. The resort itself was nice. I always enjoy not waiting long on elevators I’ve stayed in places where it took forever to catch one. Pool wasn’t being cleaned everyday which is really gross. The price we’re paying clean the pool daily! Our room was nice according to pictures. A chair was broken so you had to be careful sitting in it. I’m not sure who’s cleaning but it seems they aren’t cleaning. There was nasty stuff all on the walls in different places. The fridge was filthy. The rug looked like it had been there for a very long time it needs a cleaning or just replaced. Waiting for someone to tell us our room was ready was a bit frustrating. Peak season and you can check in between 4-6, like really? Then don’t charge me for a full day. I think that part is a complete rip off you have people traveling far with children let people check in sooner or stop charging a full day.

The property was what is was (needs updating). When we arrived both toilets were not working correctly (I fixed one of them and the plumber showed up 2 days later to fix the other). Chair was broken, curtain rod was broken and we had stained comforter which was not replaced. Oven took forever to heat up…. Took me over an hour to cook 2 frozen pizzas. Never had to wait for an elevator (which was awesome being on the 16th floor) but one of them was always not working. View was excellent from the balcony. Pool was not crowded and clean (compared to others I have been in). Beds were uncomfortable, but most are on vacation. AlC worked awesome, super cold on the 106 degree days in late June. Remember to leave your pool bands, otherwise you will be charged $15 each. Always available parking in a gated deck. Beach access was great and easy to use. So there is always good and bad, tried to give a bit of each.

Condo was not clean

We never received bracelets for the pool and ocean. I called to tell that only 1 bracelet was in the condo. Told they would send some over the next day. Never got any. Also when we got to condo it was not clean. The air return on the wall was covered with with dust. Which I cleaned myself. There was dust behind doors and under counters.

Fantastic view with uncomfortable living room furniture

On the day of check-in, which wasn't until 4:00pm, I was supposed to receive a text that contained the keypad code so that I could get into the condo. 4:00 came and went, so I called the number from the first Booking Confirmation email that I received, but it was apparently from a different company (Vacasa) that had no record of my stay. I finally found the number for Book That Condo and was told that the person that inspects the condos was "stuck in traffic" and was going to be late, and they couldn't release the condo to me until it was inspected. I wasn't able to check in until 4:47pm, almost a full hour late, and had to stand outside the condo with my luggage until then. Once entering the condo, it appeared very nice and clean and of course had a fantastic ocean view. My sons sat down on the couch, which was very hard foam and very uncomfortable. I sat in one of the chairs, which appeared comfortable, but was not, probably because it was about 30 years old and covered in a slip cover so it looked new. The beds were comfortable, no problem there. The TVs and wifi were good, but the wifi occasionally got very slow but would recover to a nice speed. The kitchen had a total of 3 or 4 forks and 3 or 4 spoons, so you have to wash frequently. Plenty of plates, pans, and other kitchen items you need. They supply 4 rolls of cheap toilet paper and 2 rolls of paper towels, and I think 2 garbage bags, so be prepared to hit Walmart or bring your own supplies. The balcony was very large and had good seating, but one side of it had four large piles of bird poop on the ground, each about a foot across. Overall, it's a nice condo, but the owners/managers cheap out in areas where you really don't need to. Supply decent toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Get decent, comfortable furniture. Make the check-in process smoother. Those few things would have gotten a 5 star review from me with no problem.
