Excellent stay

This is the second room we have stayed in at the Calypso and both times it has been excellent. Rooms are clean and look just like the pictures. Any issues we had while there they addressed immediately and they kept continuous contact with us before and during our stay. Highly recommend

Great location

Great location, poor communication from Real Joy management near the start of the stay, but that was fixed. I did get poked in the foot twice by metal staples in the living area carpet. I picked out at least twenty five more over the stay. I have pictures if you want to see them. This was not good! The bed in the master suite is also shot. The remainder of the unit was fine

Beautiful ocean views.

We stayed here with friends while in town for the bike rally. Clean and comfortable condo with beautiful ocean views. Nice complex with covered parking. We found everything we needed and had a great stay. Looking forward to booking again on our next trip down.

Beautiful ocean view/nice condo/problem with bedroom

Let me start off with the PROS: 1. communication with mgmt company very timely 2. Ocean views from 11th fL beautiful 3. Condo nicely designed inside 4. Master bed very comfortable and master bath big and shower was awesome 5. 2 huge pools and a tiki bar CONS: 1. Our biggest problem with this condo was the fact when we checked in the kids bunk bed was broken. The frame was dangerously loose that our child would fall out. They called maintenance to come check next day which he did, but said he couldn’t repair the bunk bed ladder because it was splintered so bad. The bunk was too high up for my son to get up and down safely. This was first year he was going to have his own bed, and this happens. They said they couldn’t get it replaced in time-interesting bc we were staying one week and this was Sunday and could order one off Amazon prime or pick up at local furniture store. They offered an air mattress but this was not an option. There wasn’t room for that and the point was to have his own bed in his own bedroom with his sibling. We asked for partial money back and was ignored the rest of the week. 2. Kitchen had ALOT of space and empty cupboards. Missing common items like a pot holder, cutting board, dishwashing rack, wine opener, skillets were old and had loose handle, no laundry basket 3. Although nice that we had beach service, the chairs and umbrellas were placed side by side with zero room to get in and out. We were all on top of each other the entire week.

No Hot Water!

This would have been a 5-Star trip if we had hot water! When we first arrived at the condo, we were delighted with it! It was very clean and everything was exactly how described in the listing. That evening, my daughter went to shower and realized we had no hot water. We reached out to Real Joy, the property manager, and they sent someone out that night. Unfortunately, he was not able to get the hot water restored. The next day, another repair technician came and we had hot water for the day. However, it later went out again. We were told there were a few different things that appeared wrong, but since it was a new hot water heater, they didn’t want to start replacing parts since it is under warranty. As homeowners ourselves, we understand this. However, as a family of 4 on vacation, we really wanted to shower. We reached out to Real Joy asking for some sort of credit and we’re told they need to get permission from the owners and would be in touch. This was 9 days ago. We keep getting told by Real Joy that they ware waiting for a response and will get back to us. In summary, the condo is beautiful and well maintained. However, if something goes wrong, our experience is that you get a lot of lip service. It was unfortunate that we were only able to shower one of the four days there and the property manager and owner don’t seem to care. Due to this, I’m giving it a 3-Star.

Beautiful condo with a beautiful view!!

Great place to stay! Within walking distance of about anything you would want to do! Pics are exactly what the condo is. Beautiful view! Need more dish towels and dish rags, other than that condo had about everything you would need to cook meals. Could not ask for a better place to stay! Our family had a wonderful vacation!!!!!

Wonderful location for Seabreeze Jazz Festival

The property was a great location with a nice view of the beach. It was in walking distance to the jazz festival. The unit was clean and neat. I did have difficulty with the tv. Overall, it was a great stay.

Clean property and great location

This condo was very clean. The location is a walking distance from pier park and many restaurants. The condo is right on the beach. It does take some time to get an elevator sometimes because there are only 3 for the whole building. 2 of the 3 elevators were down one day, so we had to walk 11 flights of stairs. My only complaint would be the lack of security on the beach. Teenagers drink alcohol openly on the beach day and night. I saw teens bonging beer during the day. It does get loud at night, but it was spring break so it’s expected. The electricity went out one night for about an hour. I called the condo management company that rents this and they called me back within a few minutes to check on me. Very great communication! The condo isn’t supplied with soap, extra paper towels and toilet paper or garbage bags, so I’d make sure and remember those. I would recommend this condo and would definitely stay there again.

The condo was beautiful and clean. Although everything appears new the bed was uncomfortable and my back and neck hurt. Upgrade the mattress and I say you have a slam dunk! Loved having a crockpot!

Needs a good cleaning!

The condo has not been taken care of and was dirty. The ladder to the bunk bed was broken. The freezer door wouldn’t open. The towel rack fell off the wall the first day. The guest mattress felt like it was filled with air. The fitted sheet was way too small for the mattress. It kept coming off while we were trying to sleep. The bathroom toilet was dirty. When walking across the floors the first day with no shoes or socks on your feet would turn black. There was sand all over the pullout sofa bed. The baseboards were every dusty and had hair on them. The drawers in the bathroom had dried toothpaste and hair in them. We weren’t given any towels, soap or shampoo in the guest bathroom. A man was sent to clean the room....he didn’t....he just hit a few spots with his mop and then washed it out in the kitchen sink. A second cleaning crew was sent in a day or two later and they did a good job. They need to be the ones in charge of cleaning the condo.
