We traveled with the expectation that all appliances would be in working order. After all, that's why we rented a condo and not a hotel room. We called about the dryer not working on Sunday. We contacted them again on Monday. We finally received a reply on Tuesday after my husband and I made separate inquiries that someone would be out on Wednesday to repair or replace. They did bring us some clean towels. We had to contact RealJoy again on Wednesday to say it had not been repaired only to be told that it would not be fixed before we checked out. The solution was for us to gather our laundry and take it to the hotel laundry facility, pay to have it cleaned, go back and pick it up once it was cleaned and folded and they would reimburse us at a later date. We did not want to take that chance nor did we want to interrupt our day and go to all that trouble. I was told I would be contacted again about a possible reimbursement after he spoke with someone else. I didn't ask for one but was told he would try to work something out for us. I never received a call back or text response. Very poor customer service. We purposely did not pack extra because we knew we had a washer and dryer in the unit. We also like to wash our beach towels several times throughout the week.
The condo itself was roomy and very, tastefully decorated but could use a deep cleaning as there was mold around the shower door. The unit is also in need of an exterminator although the issue wasn't major, it could turn into one if not addressed. I did not raise those issues with management as they were not bad enough to cause any major distress. The bed was comfortable although there were vertical blinds missing in both the bedroom and living room so early morning light coming in was an issue. I love the vanity area of the master bedroom and that the bedroom itself was oceanfront. The kitchen seemed to be well stocked and the refrigerator had an ice dispenser which was nice since the ice maker in the bar area had been removed. I would stay in this condo again if I knew the dryer was fixed and if it was managed by a different group.
For the record, I have stayed at Majestic Beach Towers approximately 8 previous times in different units, renting either from an individual owner, through vrbo or through another rental agency and never had an issue or left any kind of negative review. We felt mislead and did not appreciated the poor customer service.
