Great family place

My family rented this condo for a week. The location was great. It was a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to setup everyday. The complex has multiple spray off areas coming from the beach. The condo itself was perfect for 5 people. Plenty of room. Being on the second floor was very convenient because the elevator can get backed up. We had a great time! I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful condo in a great location!

This condo was exactly as described, and perfect for our family of four! We had a minor issue with the A/C unit freezing up, but maintenance resolved the issue very quickly. We hope to stay at this property on future trips to PCB!

Washing machine finally died . Found slice of pizza under couch. One kitchen chair was in the closet broken in pieces when we arrived. Toilet wouldn’t flush very well. Front door hitting frame , had to slam it closed. Now I wasn’t going to say anything but you asked

First time at this condo, but hopefully not the last!

This is a wonderful property. The Condo was clean, cute beachy decorated, description was spot on, pics were accurate!! Pools are very nice. Ocean front view! Beach chairs included was great!! Location on East end of PCB is great! Upon arrival, air was set on 72 but was 77. We gave it a day & it never cooled off, so called the main # given at reservation & they sent an air guy within 1 hr.. Fixed!!!!! We were Blessed with perfect weather, .. I highly recommend !!

Review of Emerald Coast destinations Summerhouse 202A, PCB

We have stayed multiple years in the Summerhouse. We love its location, its pools and its layout. This condo was so cute & colorful with its beach decorations. However it had multiple problems. To begin with, the elevator was not working for the majority of our stay. This meant that upon arrival we had no way to get ourselves, our luggage or supplies up to the condo except by 3 flights of stairs (condo is on second floor, but there is a ground floor). Other problems were: the tub did not drain well; one commode was continually slow to flush; there was a leak under the kitchen sink; there were open electrical outlets in the bedroom; the sliding glass door to the porch was not working properly & almost impossible to open; the linens were of the cheapest quality, pillowcases were not provided for all the pillows; no hand towels & only one dish cloth/towel were provided; the kitchen was well stocked in some items such as plates, glassware, pots & pans, but other items were lacking - there were only five forks, one teaspoon, & four tablespoons (for a condo which sleeps 6!!). Emerald Coast Destinations, the VRBO host for this condo was absolutely the WORST; I will NEVER rent from them again. Their customer support agent was rude, offensive and grossly unhelpful. The only redeeming Emerald Coast employees were Dalton, the very nice & pleasant maintenance man who came & carried all our luggage up (but he was dispatched only after we started talking about the ADA) & the cleaners

Good Vacay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The only bummer was the elevator was broken the entire week we were there. Stairs were a little difficult with a 5 year old. Other than that, it was great!

The location was amazing! View was beautiful! Kitchen sink leaked and closet door was off the hinges when we arrived but maintenance came up to fix within 2 hours of me notifying them of the issues! Room set up was nice but definitely could use a deep clean!! I would come back to this condo building for sure!!

Ok for the price

The complex was really nice. Pool and beach very close to complex and the place was well kept and clean. Parking also very close. Based on previous reviews, I did not have high expectations for the unit but we booked last minute and got a better price so we took the risk. The actual unit felt cluttered with too much stuff in the unit taking up space like several artificial trees and decorations. No space in kitchen to put the food, so we left them in bags on the counter. It was outdated, showers felt dirty and the floors were very dirty. We wore shoes inside the whole time because of this. Overall, I'd go back to the complex but not sure about the unit unless it gets a deep clean and declutter.

Horrible experience !!! BEWARE

Unit was filthy, bed frame fell in the middle of the night, water leak under bathroom sink (all towels soaked), stains on the wall and blood stains in the bathroom (floor trim). Dining chairs broken. We have stayed at The Summer House many times but this unit was by far the worst one ever!! Sent several emails and pictures to the management and was told someone would be there to address the issues but no one ever came. The AC was not working the very first day. Again email sent but ended up having the complex to send someone to fix so we could get some air flowing.. Very bad communication from the management. Poorly managed and very obvious once they receive the rental fees they could care less. We had to get blocks of wood cut at Home Depot to put under the bed so we would have a bed to sleep in. The last email communication from them, they ask what could be done to make our stay better. I ask for a partial refund. Haven’t heard anything since!!!

A beautiful location

We absolutely love this complex however it was a bit of a surprise when 5 days into the stay the mgr stopped us regarding no wrist bands or parking passes! She advised we were lucky our cars hadn't been towed!!! $30 pee peeson was requested for arm bands and parking passes. I was absolutely not thrilled about this added expense with no warning!! Otherwise, the complex and area are fantastic! We will be back to the area for sure!
