Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes. This property was perfect for empty nesters (which is us), or any couple looking for a comfortable, romantic getaway.Starting with the area. If you’re not familiar, Panacea is a fantastic small town on the Gulf coast that tourism forgot about. If you’re looking for cheesy cartoon mouse pizza, go carts, and putt putt every three blocks this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for a place where time slows down, top tier fishing, and a one light town with quiet, good people, then welcome home. The property…I cannot say enough good things. Very clean, and decorated with a coastal touch. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and I’d sell a kidney to find out where they got the sheets. The Kuerig machine with the K cup carousel was an especially nice touch. The property has a screened in porch where we had coffee in the mornings, and watched movies at night on the iPad. There was ample parking for my small boat. And the dock…what a breathtaking view at sunrise and sunset. It was nice not having to shuttle my boat every day to the launch site. But if you don’t have a boat, no worries. We carried a couple Adirondack chairs to the dock every night for the fresh air and sunset. Who needs a boat when you can do that? From the dock we caught so many trout (we don’t keep them) but if that’s your thing, another nice touch is the fish cleaning station (complete with freshwater hookups) right there.Make this your choice.
