True beach house, gorgeous beach!
Great space that opens onto a lovely, uncrowded, beautiful beach! For us, to be able to have the living room and primary bedroom each open onto this spacious screened-in porch, which is 20 steps from the ocean was absolutely perfect! We sure hope to come back!

Beach Perfection without Crowds
I knew nothing about this part of the Florida coast before this stay in Saint Teresa. It was just exceptional- historic, laid back, and without crowds of people. And to think that we were there during spring break!! The house is simply but tastefully and artfully furnished.Everything is just so pretty. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and cooking vessels we needed. You could not ask for a more beautiful beach setting to wonder on or a more relaxing porch and yard from which to enjoy it. David was an accessible and helpful host. Would love to go back!

Just as described, only better!
We had a lovely 2 week stay. The pictures dont due justice to just how close you are to the beach. Although the house is comfortably decorated, the screen porch is the best room in the house and the icing on the cake. The area is remote but everything you might need is a pleasant 20-30 minute drive. The couple staying next door (for a month) were here for the 3rd year in a row and we can understand why. Dave was a wonderful host and worked with us when a family emergency looked like it might derail our plans. We hope to return in the future.

Perfect Beachside Vacation
The beach just feet away from your door is what makes this property. We loved being far from the nearest fast food chains and tourist attractions and having a spot that is all about the ability to wander the beach and observe the wildlife - including white squirrels and osprey! Incredibly comfy beds and a fantastic set up for spending hours on the porch watching the waves while it rained.

Dogcation
This trip was suppose to be for my husband and I. But our yellow lab sailor, couldn’t get enough of the beach. She dug n the sand, played fetch, chased birds, and laid in the water. We enjoyed watching her. When it was time to leave, she didn’t want to go. The home was perfect and equipped with everything to cook at home. The views were just perfect from every room. We stumbled across this place and will definitely be back next year!

Quiet and Relaxing Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this house which was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We love St. Teresa Beach because it is so quiet and peaceful. The large back porch was great for relaxing and taking in the view. We walked the beach every day with only an occasional other person or two on the beach. We definitely plan to return.

Nice- But very remote
My husband and I booked five nights, but only stayed one. It was very nice... just was not for us. We were not prepared to be that far away from everything- and as seniors, we prefer to have access to certain services and amenities. I contacted the owner to let him know we were leaving, and explained why. He did not refund the four nights (which I totally understand) and offered to let my family come for a couple of free nights (with cleaning fee)- but I just explained that it would not work for us. Great place- just know it feels a bit isolated- so if you have health issues or concerns, this may not be for you.

It was so good to meet you and discuss your stay. One of the things that makes St. Teresa such a treasure is that it's 3 miles of private beach with very few homes. Yesterday I did a 1 hour walk along the water and only saw two people; it can be this way during the middle of the week. I hope you both had a great rest of your stay in the Destin area. I love the vibe there as well, when I'm looking to be around lots of night life and fun people. Best, Dave

Clean and comfortable
This place was exceptionally clean! The kitchen is well equipped. The master bed that I slept in was super comfortable. The massive screen porch was clean, inviting and relaxing. There are Adirondack chairs in the yard to sit and enjoy the ocean waves. Great place to destress and relax.

Fall getaway

A special place!
David's home was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. The home is very nicely furnished and well cared for. The beach is absolutely beautiful - we enjoyed walks on the beach and playing fetch with our pup. We hope to be back soon!

Best weekend in a million years
Spouse and I went for just a couple days and loved every second of our stay. The house is perfect. The beach was peaceful. The neighbors are friendly. The neighbor mowing his lawn at 8:30 am sunday was interesting but we survived. The house was very clean and well stocked. Appliances were great although we ate out most of the stay. The bed was very comfortable and the screen porch was perfect for morning tea while rocking and watching the dog play in the water. At night we sat outside enjoying the stars and pretending to take good pictures of the milky way. We are already looking for a time when we can go back. There is nothing nearby which was perfect for us. We drove to a nearby town and enjoyed lunch and taking pictures of the scenery and the wildlife. There is a white squirrel that lives in the tree outside and makes an appearance periodically. The house comes with great instructions and comfortable places to sit and eat or read. We slept well in the dark and quiet and still found time for naps. Coming back to reality was tough. If you have to be entertained all the time, you may not care for the location but if you want peace and quiet and nature and comfort, this is the place for you.

Great getaway

Weekend Getaway

Great house and location!
We have stayed at multiple rentals on STB, and this house was one of our favorites. Great location on the beach, wonderful and spacious back porch, comfortable house, outdoor shower, and owner provides everything you need for a perfect and relaxing beach vacation with the family. We will definitely stay here again.

If you’re looking for Florida and not the tourist district. This is it! Great property quiet beach. Wonderful area to explore. The house was clean and quiet. Well equipped and the owner is responsive.

Perfect relaxing and private vacation
We loved our stay. House was perfect and we loved sitting on the back porch to eat or drink coffee. The kids loved playing here. It was a quick walk down to the beach so you could easily walk back up if you forgot something. This was very nice with small children. Most days we had the beach completely to ourselves.

Perfect start to summer!!
Very clean, well appointed, comfortable, cozy place. The location was beautiful. Communication with the manager was quick and informative. This is a secluded area, the closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so come stocked with your needs. Please note this is a triplex so you will share the beach that goes with the property. However, everyone is very nice and respectful of the property and location. Also there is a small deck, a large deck, and plenty of space for everyone. For two days we could hear the music playing from the upstairs guests, but each night it promptly stopped at 9:00. The large porch has everything you need to have a relaxing day- large dining table, plenty of rockers and chairs, and one of the most comfortable daybeds perfect for napping to the sound of waves and the occasional Florida rain storm! The porch was the perfect spot to watch the waves roll in and catch dolphins swimming by. Your dogs will love playing on the beach. All of the pet owners were very respectful and their dogs were well trained. We will definitely plan a return trip.

Anita, I'm so glad you guys had a nice trip and experience. St. Teresa is one of the last places in Florida where you can stay on the beach and some days have the entire coast to yourself. You guys were great to host and and always polite and courteous to deal with. I hope to host you again.

Perfect retreat!
We were very happy with our stay! Comfortable master suit bed, and kitchen was well stocked with any utensil needed. We loved being able to walk out the condo door and the beach was right there. Beautiful beach, not congested, and people were so friendly. We would definitely rent this again!

Fantastic!
We had a fantastic stay! The only problem was it wasn't long enough. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We took long walks and I slept on the twin bed on the porch. The sounds of the ocean and the brightness of the stars was just magical! We will be back!

Beautiful Beach
We absolutely loved the property! We had lawn, fire pit, and beach right outside of our screened in porch. Our dog had the best time ever because he could run off-leash. The neighbors were very friendly. If you are looking for relaxation, this is the place to be.

Absolute perfection
We arrived at the property to find it perfectly cleaned and ready for our arrival, hotel clean...It had everything we needed as far as the kitchen goes, grill, utensils and quite easy to navigate. They had plenty of water equipment for our family to enjoy. Additionally, the owner gave us restaurant suggestions. Every night we would take the kayaks out and follow the dolphins. The beach was nearly empty but anyone we saw was super friendly. Our dog was able to enjoy the beautiful property with us as it was extremely dog friendly. This is a hidden gem! Thanks for having us!!

Perfect Relaxing Beach House
This was exactly what we were looking for a relaxing beach vacation. We took our small dog with us to this idyllic setting just steps from the beach. The property was comfortable and clean and you can't ask for a better beach location. We enjoyed walking on the beach at sunrise and letting our small dog run free on this amazing beach. The sunrise was beautiful! The property also has a firepit, two chairs right on the beach and a big screened in porch to enjoy. We made great use of all three of these and enjoyed sunsets from the property as well. There were neighbors staying at the next door property and they were just as lovely and enjoyable as the beach itself. We will definitely return!

Peaceful and relaxing stay
We loved our stay at this property. It a beautiful, peaceful, and secluded location right on the beach. Our family enjoyed walking on the beach, kayaking, playing football in the back yard, and chilling on the back porch. The furnishings inside are nice and everything was well appointed. Great vacation spot!!!
We really enjoyed our vacation at Rising Sun! The location was perfect for our grandchildren and small dog. No big waves to knock them down or make them be fearful of the water. They loved it! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. There were a lot of people in and out around us during our visit, but very polite. I guess people have discovered how nice it is to vacation in Oct. FYI be sure to bring everything you need bc the nearest grocery store is almost 30 miles away. We loved the location, just be prepared. Bring bug spray, we only had those black flies one day but they were vicious. There was no street noise and after 9pm or so the whole area was quite. 2 things that I would have liked were a chest of drawers in the master bedroom and privacy blinds. Everything else was great! My adult daughter loved the daybed meditation area on the back porch!

Best Beach House We’ve Ever Stayed In
I grew up spending every summer at the beach and we take a beach vacation every year and this by FAR is the best house and beach experience w eve ever had. Home and views are incredible. You have the entire beach to yourselves basically. Plus, you’re on a 100 yard sandbar so kids can play. Not to mention we caught a bunch of redfish from the beach and cooked them right there. A+

The forgotten coast will always be remembered.

Really liked the clean/classic/contemporary furnishings of this beach place. Not kitschy at all. The orientation of the view facing the water was perfect and the host was really easy.

Great get-away destination
The area is a gem of a destination if you are looking for a quiet get-away-stay. The screened in porch was the best part (outside of being on the water of course!), where you can lounge out of the sun, and relax at the end of the day, but still experience being outside. There are people upstairs and next door in the unit, but everyone was enjoyable and super nice! Very calming!

Perfect Family Vacation
