Absolutely Perfect

Topaz house is a delightful property that was just as beautiful in person as it was on the listing. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, private and very comfortable. Casita is a great addition. Good kitchen for cooking/entertaining and the pool/deck/firepit were fantastic. We'll be back.

Topaz Review

It was a nice cozy place, needs a lot of work. The day we got there, hot water was sporadically working in the main house and not at all working in the casita, three days later, the casita hot water was fixed. The icemaker was not working, the dishwasher had broken pieces in it. The pool and the hot tub were cold when we got there, it took another day after we got there to get the pool heated, we lost two days of pool time as a result of the pool heater not working, we paid for this service. The flooring is old and needs to be redone.Lars, the contact person at Altimira Vacation Rentals managing this property was very responsive and did his best to help, some issues out of his control.We were there to spend time as a family over a holiday, instead, we ended up making multiple calls to Lars on all these issues.This place is overpriced for having all these issues, VRBO should do a better job validating price/value of these kind of places.After being a VRBO customer for years, we would have to think twice about renting from them after this experience.

Memorial Day weekend in Vista Las Palmas

This property is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with a spectacular mountain view from the backyard pool area. The house is well furnished and well stocked with everything for a family stay. The separate casita was the perfect "bachelor pad" for our adult son who was staying with us. The Altamira staff were friendly and responsive. The only issue we had was with the hot water (it wasn't hot - there were instructions provided in the property manual about how to increase the water temperature but it didn't work for me - I'm not a fan of "instantaneous" water heaters). The hot tub at the pool was hot though - and easy to operate with a single button (rather than a phone app or i-pad that we've had issues with at other properties we've stayed at in the neighbourhood). Would definitely stay there again - we were reluctant to leave after a very relaxing weekend. The waterfall option at the pool was great too to silence any noise coming from nearby homes (Palm Springs was a popular venue for the long weekend).

This house was perfect for 7 girlfriends for our annual trip to the desert. There is plenty of space inside and out, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the location is terrific.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The weather was wonderful so we were able to fully use the beautiful backyard. The hosts were very responsive to the few questions we had. The kitchen could use some updating, but the cupboards were stocked nicely for preparing meals. We will definitely be staying again.

Las Palmas Getaway

This is a great family property in one of the iconic neighborhoods of Palm Springs. Our group consisted of six adults and two children - five and four months. First, this is a wonderful neighborhood. Very quiet, even with new construction going on a few doors down. The walking here is fantastic if you enjoy seeing all the homes of former celebrities. Most of them lived here. This quiet cul de sac is nestled under the mountains. Exceptional views. It's the best neighborhood we've ever stayed in. The house is spacious and well furnished. We all fit very well with lots of room to be together. The casita is very nice as well. The beds and linens were top notch, and an added plus was how quiet the bedrooms were. No one had any issues sleeping. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything you could need. The backyard and pool area was nice as well. The gas bbq is amazing - very high end - and it made for some excellent grilling. Our week, unfortunately was cool, but the owners keep the pool and spa nice and warm, so we could use them regardless of the weather. There were some small touches that were nice - plenty of paper towels (sometimes you only get on roll), tissues in every bathroom and lots and lots of towels for both the baths and pool. Property management was highly attentive. When we arrived we had issues with the hot water. They were immediately on it and had the issue resolved that day. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful home, great location

This house was perfect for our recent stay in Palm Springs. The three bedrooms in the house all had very comfy king size beds. If only the hot water in the bathrooms worked while we were there. Thankfully they were able to get one bathroom in the main house to have hot water during our stay. I would also recommend purchasing some new pots and pans. We did not really cook in the house other than breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Best location, best house!

This is our second time staying at this property, and once again we had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, and only about a mile walk to downtown…and Starbucks! The pool was very clean and heated to the perfect temperature. The casita allowed our multi families plenty of privacy and comfort. We love this house and will stay here again when we visit Palm Springs.

Air quality

The exhaust fan in master bath was broken and it was never able to be remedied as it is apparently a large job. The remodel was very mediocre. There is a depressing vacant house on the cul de sac and the neighbor is a hoarder.

A lovely home in the Old Las Palmas area

So much space in this lovely home! The pool was perfect, the home comfortable, the beds very very comfortable, with everything we needed. We loved walking in this neighborhood, and it was close to downtown Palm Springs which was fabulous. The home had plenty of dishes, towels, and amenities to make it very easy for us!

Perfect property for a girl's weekend

The location is ideal for taking a morning walk through the neighborhood, spending the day floating in the pool while looking at the mountain backdrop, and eating meals around a well designed table. Highly recommend for a long girls' weekend.

Beautiful Property

This is a wonderful home with a beautiful pool and hot tub. Property looks exactly as pictured. Great location that is close to the airport and downtown. Property management provided excellent customer service and communication!

Great Location and excellent place

Very nice home in a fantastic neighborhood. Great layout and outdoor spaces. Casita is a nice feature too. Also short drive to great restaurants and commercial. Really smooth process and would highly recommend Altamira.
