Absolutely perfect in every way!

This was by far the nicest rental we've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The place was immaculately clean, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The beautiful decor in this place is transportive, you feel like you are staying in a historic home! From the art to the furniture, the light fixtures and wood ceiling trim, every detail oozes charm. The wrap-around outdoor space is absolutely magical, with a large clean pool, Spanish style water fountains and beautiful gardens all against the backdrop of the San Jacinto mountains. The outdoor lights add to the vibe, and everything is on a timer and easy to use. My 6-year old daughter loved exploring the orchard in back, as well as the worldly cactus garden. I could go on an on, but in short: book this place! And if you do so, take good care of this special place.

Fabulous property

Amazing Spanish-influence home, meticulous property with attention to detail at every level. Home and backyard/pool area are a true paradise. He is located on a busy street which makes getting in/out a bit tricky. But worth it to enjoy this home! Owner and property manager are accessible and fantastic to deal with.

Had been wanting to stay here for years

Finally got around to booking this incredibly charming home. Had bookmarked it years ago when a popular antiques dealer had posted photos of it online. It's even more stunning in person, with such great attention to detail. The bonus being that it was by far the cleanest rental home we've stayed in and the host is very attentive and helpful. We'll be looking forward to many more visits.

Absolutely Wonderful!

An amazing place and experience. Both the inside and outside are beautiful and impeccably maintained. The outside at night is magical and relaxing - with the pool, mountains and lights. Everything was extremely clean. And the property owner and manager are the best I’ve ever experienced. Extremely attentive and responsive. A great place!!!

Gorgeous and elegant home

This home was a perfect place for five family members to shelter in place. The home is absolutely gorgeous, with an elegant Old California Spanish/Ranch feel evoked by the fantastic design, beautiful and whimsical decorations, and vintage furniture. This is not a place for those who only dig minimalist or "modern" style; no grey cabinets and white everywhere and marble counters here. This house is filled with rich wood and warm color. This is classic Southern California at its best. While stylized, it is effortless and this home also is very functional. A great kitchen, good beds and linens, and two lovely and very good bathrooms. And the backyard is wonderful. So many places to hang out and enjoy the view of the mountains, the pool, the huge amount of healthy succulents, and the abundant fruit trees, as well as enjoy games of bocce ball and grilling if so inclined. At night, with the lights on, it is pretty magical outside. We found no need to leave the property. The only downside is that the street the home is on is busy and can be noisy at times. It did not bother me but it might those who crave total silence. As a final note, the owner was lovely to deal with, as was the property manager; both very kind and accommodating.

Lovely Palm Springs home

My family and I loved every minute of our stay at this home. We very much appreciated the restoration and attention to details. The house was very clean, the owner was wonderful to work with, and we enjoyed the u-type floor plan which allowed for our family to spread out. The pool was perfect and grounds were well maintained. As previous reviewers noted, the house is on a main street which makes exiting and entering tricky -- we got used to it! Downtown is a quick 8 minute drive and there's an amazing sushi restaurant within minutes. We'd stay here again and recommend this house!

Awesome weekend getaway!

We were looking for a unique house for a weekend vacation in Palm Springs and Vista del Monte definitely fit the bill. You've probably already read many other reviews and I don't really have anything new to add but I'll just reiterate this is such a cool house, a real time machine, and the backyard with pool, bocce ball court, grill, and mature citrus trees are fantastic. Literally every plant on this property produces something edible from olive to orange trees, even grapes. We spent most of our time in the backyard. The layout of the house was also perfect, my wife and I plus our one year old stayed on one side and my mother-in-law had the queen bedroom on the other. The only downside I have is since it is an older house some of the doorways are low, I'm on the taller side at 6-6 so I had to be careful but it wasn't really an issue. Just something to keep in mind. If Vista del Monte happens to be available during your trip to Palm Springs I highly recommend staying there.

The best of the best

This is a fantastic property. It’s actually better than the pictures. Brandon the owner, created this fantastic time machine that will transport you back to the late thirties when Palm Springs was the exclusive playground of Hollywood royalty. The setting is fantastic and the owner has seen to every detail. There is no down side to this home. Tom the property manager is a total professional and greets you on arrival to show where everything is and how it works. Thank you guys. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning in the fall.

Beautiful, stylish property

Beautiful, tasteful home that is perfectly maintained. There are details through out that make it feel like a luxury resort: perfectly organized kitchen spaces, amazing smelling soaps, meticulously manicured outdoor spaces and details like magnets sewn into the curtain hems to keep curtains closed for a good night sleep. We had four adults (2 cars) and one dog in the space and were all happy as clams. The bocce ball court amongst the fruit trees was ::chefs kiss:: The one draw back is the busy road it is located on, making getting in/out of driveway a bit tricky but that shouldn’t stop anyone from visiting this lovely home. We will be back!

Wonderful house with a beautiful pool area. Super nice place for a long weekend. The property owner and his assistant were so helpful and very responsive when we had questions - super nice to deal with as well! I would definitely stay here again when visiting Palm Springs!

Perfectly Appointed and Remodeled SW Style Home

We were so impressed with this home. The remodel was so carefully done that it appears to be a perfectly preserved original when in fact it underwent a major refurbishment. The furniture, the tiles, the windows were all exactly in keeping with the theme. The bathrooms and TVs are all updated so you don't sacrifice any modern conveniences. There is a little road noise and the driveway is tight but this is still the best place we've stayed in Palm Springs. One more thing: the pool and backyard area are also immaculate, well-landscaped and very relaxing. Thanks to Brandon for minding every detail in this house.

Wonderful home

We enjoyed our stay. The home is clean and comfortable with terrific linens and soaps and comfortable for sitting. Great furnishings and you feel right at home. What's best of all is the backyard. It is an oasis and a place to sit and relax all afternoon. The only down side is the location. It's a busy street. A bit noisy at times and hard to get in and out. The property manager and owner were very responsive and helpful.

Good Vibes

We've stayed at a number of properties in Palm Springs - this one was my favorite. Overall it just felt like our own private oasis, and the detail in design was really fun to discover throughout our stay. We appreciated they stocked the toiletries and everything was very clean. Our top/favorite things were: -the pool, it was beautiful and was the perfect temp. - the layout of the house and backyard, perfect for our group. - the fountains, it brought a level of peace, serenity, and calm to the property. - loved the mornings and waking up there. having a cup of coffee out on the HUGE open gorgeous patio, with great furniture, facing the mountains; it truly is the perfect backdrop for what feels like your own personal sunrise. - loved the openness of the property, has a very nice indoor/outdoor flow. We will be back!!

Family Thanksgiving in Palm Springs

... this will become our ‘go to’ VRBO for our next Palm Springs visit. You step right in to a warm & cozy home away from home property. I continually walked from room to room looking at the beautiful decorated space.... like out of a magazine. The kitchen was stocked with all the right accessories to make our Thanksgiving Dinner as well. Picking fresh fruit from the trees on the property was a treat we throughly enjoyed.... homemade lemonade..... so good! The backyard was perfect from the pool, Bocce Ball court, gas grill and plenty of lawn/lounge chairs for our family. You will not be disappointed! What you see, is what you get.... beautiful.... simply beautiful.

Beautiful Home on a Busy Street

We had a wonderful 8 days at Vista del Monte. We were blessed with absolutely gorgeous weather! Both Brandon and Roxxy were nice and very easy to work with. The home is decorated with beautiful period pieces to match the era of the home. The pool and patio area are outstanding, lined with fruit trees and a privacy concrete wall all around the property. There is a mountain in the distance behind the home. Unfortunately, there are multiple power lines that are right in the view of the mountains as you sit on the patio. (They are not visible in the pictures on the VRBO site.) The hardest part for us staying at this property was getting in and out of the driveway. It is located on an extremely busy 4-lane road. You must back out of the driveway to leave the property because there isn’t room to turn the car around to go out forward. Along with the busy road comes a lot of noise that is easily heard both on the back pool/patio area as well as in the home. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If this house were in a quieter neighborhood and not on such a busy street, we would have given it a 5 star rating.
