Art gallery with a pool

Just had a delightful stay at this lovely home. The pool was sparkling, the greenery lush and the location was super convenient. The Shag art was everywhere and absolutely beautiful. The hosts are generous in the appliances, games, kitchen supplies and general fittings. A truly wonderful place.

Wonderful Stay at "Shag Lover"!

The place was very clean, organized and the communication from Acme was great. The location was close to downtown, hiking and grocery stores. Loved the artwork and the attention to details made it feel very welcoming and comfortable. Would definately stay here again!

Great house

Enjoyed our stay at the house. Both the pool and spa were very large. Enjoyed the open living area overlooking the pool. The house is conveniently located near several markets and Starbucks. Very clean inside.

Shag Lover at Tahquitz River Estates

I planned a trip for my husband birthday with some close friends as a surprise to him. As soon as I saw the location and pictures I knew this would be the perfect spot. The home is beautiful inside and out. And let me say the location was absolutely perfect close to downtown and shopping stores. The property management was always quick with responses when needed. We cant wait to book our next trip here again.

Great property

Loved the look/feel of the house and pool area. Great views from back yard. AC was lacking (wouldn’t go below 82•, with no air movement, so felt too warm inside). On a fairly busy street, but car noise is well-masked by fountain when outside.

Fun!

Everything was really great!! And I know that some people have commented about the street/car noise so I will add that it’s actually very significant, and might be worth adding that caveat into the description. We figured it out as best we could by putting city folk in the rooms on the street, but honestly, when larger cars drove over the bridge/overpass, the house shook. This didn’t in any way change the fun time we had, but it was for sure an adjustment. Also, the management and service people were the best!! Hugely responsive and prompt — and super nice. Thanks for a great stay!

Great stay at Shag Lovers

My group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shag Lovers vacation rental. The house is in a great location, great amenities and super clean. The property management company, Acme, was easy to work with and super responsive. The only small negative was the road noise during high traffic times. Overall, great stay!

Long Weekend in Palm Springs

Great value for the price. Super convenient location. I cook and the kitchen was super functional. Great pool and hot tub. Bathrooms super nice. The only potential drawback of the property is that the house is on a corner lot with one of the streets being a major thoroughfare. I was a little apprehensive but it ended up being somewhat of a non issue for me. It was more city noise than anything and by the end of the trip I didn't notice it as much. Also one less neighbor. I would definitely rent the house again without hesitation.

A wonderful, easy time!

The house, yard and pool are lovely--very clean, comfortable and peaceful. The check-in and out process was very easy, and they kept in touch and gave us everything we needed throughout. Grocery shopping is within walking distance including a natural foods store. There's also a bike rental shop nearby. Really perfect location. We loved it.

Had a lovely time! Great pool (with a deep end - kind of rare for the dip pools of Palm Springs). My two small fur babies loved the backyard with grass. Loved the midcentury modern dream of a house. Plus made some fresh squeezed grapefruit juice from the tree out back for breakfast. Such a relaxing time with my family as a safe getaway after being on COVID lockdown for so many months. House was very clean and everything was easy to use/find. Loved it!

Overall Good Stay But w/Issues

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to a beautiful home with an easy check-in process. Though it was a bit tough to reliably get a hold of customer service in the weeks prior, we got the info we needed and settled into the home. The artwork is beautiful and the grounds were really nice. However as soon as we arrived, my husband noticed 6-10 very large cockroaches crawling in and out of the kitchen cabinets, under the sink, and on the counter. There was no Raid for roaches (just for flying insects.) It was quite startling. We also had several encounters over multiple days with workers who showed up unannounced to mow, trim the trees, etc. Some of this was expected; some was not. They were simply doing their job, but Acme should have at least alerted us to the landscaper who would be mowing our lawn right outside the bedroom at 7am or the tree trimmers who spent 4.5 hours using buzz saws and loud leaf blowers, preventing us from using the pool or even getting rest (we would have planned our days differently, had we known.) There were also smaller issues like the broken chaise chair taped up with electrical tape that my husband almost fell through; the pool towels with red wine/rust/blood droplets on them even after washed; the lack of a ceiling or mobile floor fan for the apartment since it can get very hot and, understandably, the A/C cannot go below 74 or 72 without freezing the system. We had to go hunt for (in three different stores during a pandemic) and purchase a fan for ourselves, which was a bit inconvenient. I've written twice to customer service and not heard anything yet about these issues. Would really like to book again because I'm hopeful that the next time will be improved/even better, but the longer I don't hear from anyone, the more I am concerned...

Gorgeous all around

We loved the house and the grounds however it's located on a fairly busy street, Sunrise Way, so we could hear cars all day. We would have appreciated knowing this, but perhaps it's in the reviews that we did not read. That said, they have a fountain to try to mask the sound. And the grounds and views are really lovely. The house was perfect for our small group. Very clean and well kept. Slept like a baby both nights!

A perfect mid-mod getaway

This classic mid-century modern home has been furnished with all the trappings of that classic era, complete with the whimsical artwork by Shag featured throughout the house. Backyard and pool area was resort-like, spacious and private. Home was pristine in terms of cleanliness. We would definitely visit again in the near future!
