Amazing yard!

The perfect house. Owner was quick to respond and communicative. The back yard is ideal for lounging, swimming, hot tubbing, hanging with friends or family. Owners did a beautiful job landscaping and lighting the back yard. Beautiful location with views of the mountains. I highly recommend this place.

We Loved It So Much, We Came Back the Next Year!

The title says it all! Somewhat last-minute, we decided to vacation in Palm Springs again for spring break. Given our timeframe, we explored all the available rentals in the area. When we saw that the place we stayed at last year wasn’t available for our exact travel dates, we used it as the benchmark for comparing other options in our price point.After reviewing many properties and considering our must-haves—a private backyard, sunny pool, hot tub, mid-century modern style (but not overtly), and a convenient location—this one still stood out as the best. Some places had tiny backyards, others had shaded pools, and some just didn’t have the right vibe (why rent a vacation house that feels like a house in your own neighborhood?). While a few had great locations, none checked all the boxes quite like this one. In the end, it remained our top choice—so we adjusted our trip dates to fit its availability!Once again, it was an amazing stay, and we’re so glad we returned. Highly recommend!

Winter Escape

Just home and already missing morning coffee by the pool. We were lucky enough to spend three weeks in Palm Springs and Casa Chia was a terrific 'home'. We booked this property for the pool and yard and it did not disappoint. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog and our grandchildren who visited for a few days. Location was great for all Palm Springs activities, only downside is airport noise. Gerry was a terrific host and very responsive before our arrival and during our stay.

What More Do You Need?!

It is a perfect little, mid-century decor place in an ideal place to get a little walk in before and after dinner. Homey, comfortable and clean. With the perfect backyard to relax, swim, entertain, etc. And Gerry is awesome. So nice! With great recommendations for dinner! Will definitely be back.

Lovely getaway

The entire experience from booking start to checking out was extremely easy. Gerry is very caring for your experience and has excellent communication skills. The location was perfect and allowed us to walk to most of our events, very close to a gas station ,grocery store and a Starbucks and also centralized near the main strip. Gerry is very friendly and accommodating to your needs. The added bonus is allowing our 2 dogs to join in on our vacation. The house is extremely clean and organized, layed out very well and has a beautiful backyard with lots of areas to lay on the grass and enjoy the poolside. The hot tub heating was included as well which many rentals charge extra for. The checkout was 10:30am , very reasonable and was an easy list to complete. would definitely return for another fantastic weekend Thank you Gerry

Wonderful stay

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay! Gerry, our host, truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. From providing fantastic recommendations for unique bakeries like Carousel Bakery to familiarizing us with the city's short-term rental regulations in a positive and neighborly manner, Gerry's hospitality was exceptional and greatly appreciated. The property exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The backyard and pool were simply amazing, providing a perfect retreat for relaxation and enjoyment. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making meal preparation a breeze, and both indoor and outdoor dining areas offered a delightful ambiance for sharing meals. The indoor spaces were tastefully furnished, providing comfortable lounging and dining options for our group. One suggestion for improvement would be upgrading the dishwasher, as we found it slightly lacking compared to the rest of the well-appointed kitchen. However, this was a minor inconvenience considering the overall functionality of the kitchen. We probably cooked more than the average guest. As with other Vrbo rentals in the area, there is some occasional airplane, but we found it not to be disruptive to our overall experience. The airport activity seemed to be well-managed, and any noise was minimal and brief, certainly not enough to disturb our sleep. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comforting stay in Palm Springs.

Our favorite place to stay ever!

This home is just wonderful! Just perfect mid-mod decor- very cheerful! Comfortable beds! Every amenity you could possible need or want. The backyard/pool area is fabulous! Beautiful pool & hot tub (which we used every day!), and lots of places to enjoy the sun and read. It's located in a great place - close to everything in Palm Springs. The owner was fantastic! Walked us through the property on check-in and kept us informed and was so wonderful! The care they take with this lovely home is so evident and really made it the best place we have stayed in Palm Springs! We would definitely stay here again!

Winter Haven in Palm Springs

Casa Chia is a cozy home with all the amenities for indoor and outdoor use. It is near grocery shopping and a short car ride to downtown Palm Springs. The most impressive part of our stay was the host, Gerry, met us on arrival and walked through the home. During our stay, we had a number of questions for him. He was prompt to reply and personable in communication. I definitely recommend this property, and give the host, Gerry, five stars! *****

Thanksgiving Holiday with the family

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Chia, in stunning Palm Springs, California, over the Thanksgiving Holiday and let me tell you, it was an absolute dream come true. I have to commend the amazing host, Gerry. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. His warm welcome and friendly demeanor instantly made us feel right at home. Gerry's dining recommendations were spot on! We tried a few of his suggestions and each meal was a delightful experience. The highlight of this property, however, was undoubtedly the pool and spa. The crystal-clear waters and luxurious amenities provided the ultimate oasis for unwinding and soaking up the desert sun. We spent hours lounging by the pool, sipping our favorite drinks, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Furthermore, Palm Springs itself has so much to offer. The hiking trails and horseback riding experiences were nothing short of unforgettable. The stunning natural beauty of the surrounding mountains left us in awe. We were able to recharge our batteries while immersing ourselves in nature. Needless to say, our experience at Casa Chia and in Palm Springs was nothing short of exceptional. Gerry, the incredible host, the beautiful home, the fantastic pool and spa, the outdoor activities, and the overall ambiance made our stay truly unforgettable. Poor air conditioning and neighborhood

The house was clean and nicely decorated. The backyard pool/spa area was idyllic. These positive features, though, were marred by other issues. The owner had the thermostat locked at 76°, which was inadequate - even at night in April. When the air conditioning did cut on, it sounded like a jet turbine in the attic. The house next-door was in decrepit condition with an overgrown yard. An apartment complex was across the street. There was traffic noise from the busy street three houses away - particularly with the windows open at night. Then in the dawn hours, sleep was disturbed with open windows by jet aircraft taking off and noisy birds. The mattresses were not comfortable.

Great property for your family

Gerry (host) was great! He gave us great suggestions for food and entertainment, the location is perfect to downtown. The property is very clean and well maintained with a beautiful pool and backyard! Highly recommend for a family getaway!

Enjoyed Our Stay

Property spotless inside and out. The backyard and host Gerry were comparable to the best VRBO homes we've stayed at in PS. Gerry was totally accommodating, easy to work with and quick to respond to all our communications. He truly wants you to enjoy your stay. The backyard is extremely large and beautifully landscaped and furnished with several patios, a 30 foot long pool, spa and extensive artificial grass. A clear view to the mountains and total privacy fencing complete the exterior experience. As advertised numerous shops for necessities and groceries are very close. The house itself is older (with a completely modernized kitchen) and not all that large. It worked for my wife and me though , and we enjoyed our 5 day stay.

Perfect Girls trip

It was a very good location within a walkable distance to starbucks, grocery store, restaurants, etc. It was also "walkable" to the main drag but you'd probably want to be wearing comfortable shoes. Otherwise it was a short Uber Ride to anywhere we wanted to go. The backyard is awesome. I would definitely recommend heating the pool since it got really cold overnight there during our stay. They have really created a great atmosphere in the backyard.

Sisters Trip

We 100% recommend this property. The 3 bedroom home was delightful and the pool/yard was a dream. House fully equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, linens, towels, etc. Jerry met us at the house and walked us through so spa control and locks to the house were a breeze. Thank you Jerry!

5 days of R&R in Palm Springs

This small house met our needs. We provided only a couple boxes of tissues, plus a few things we needed on site, since we went out for nearly every meal. All the basics were provided. We swapped out one bedside lamp in the MBR for one in the room next to us so one of us could read in bed at night ... and we used the bed in that room for our suitcases, since there wasn't room for both in the MBR (OK, we overpacked, but there was no place for both suitcases, and places to unpack only one of them, in the MBR).

January 2023 2 Week Visit

Gerry, the host, was very accommodating and available when needed. The house was exactly as described in the listing. Very well maintained and stocked with all the things needed for an extended stay. The pictures of the place are wonderful. However, the backyard with the hot tub, pool, and mountain views are even more spectacular in person. The house is in a lovely quiet neighborhood with great access to all of Palm Springs. Would stay here again on a future visit.
