Above average Legacy unit

We've stayed at several Legacy properties over the last year and overall, this one is above average. The listing and pictures fairly represent the unit. Like every Legacy unit we've been in, it's darker than what we'd prefer, even with all the lights on and the shutters and drapes open. It is upstairs which eliminates the noise associated with people being above you, but the trade off is that there are 20 or so stairs to negotiate. The unit was clean and equipped with the bare minimum of dishes and little to no supplies, which was OK on this short stay because we ate out every meal. The internet was very fast and allowed us to stream video using our Roku stick and via the WiFi. The bed and bedding was superior and very comfortable and the fridge kept our drinks exceptionally cold. Climate control worked fine as did the keyless front door lock. The entry instructions were clear but we had to guess as to how to lock the door while we were in the unit as well as when we left. The only downside was that the unit smelled a bit like there had recently been animals in it and as people without pets, it smelled a bit off.

Nice and Good Value

I've stayed at several units within the complex. Love the area. Place was nice, great TV selection. Only issue is the shower takes quite awhile to get warm may need some maintenance. But does get warm. Garage parking is nice as well. Would recommend.

Legacy Villa December Visit

Functional space for a couple. Reasonably appointed, a step up from hotel/resort accommodation but not a “home” environment. Very basic kitchen utensils/cookware - fine as long as you’re not intending to prepare substantial meals. It’s somewhat dark. The December sun doesn’t touch the outside deck very long . Good accommodation for a home base while pursuing activities in the valley.

Loved it, but...

Perfect stay EXCEPT inform guests the distinction between the Classic and Legacy condos, as each has units with the EXACT same address. Frustrating as my wife is at the address across the driveway...but I was in the Legacywith our friends.

Most everything was great. The unit overall was immaculate, bedding and towels were great. Here are a few things that need a bit of help. 1. The materials in the unit say there should be a remote for the garage and there was not. Parking was a bit of a challenge on Saturday night. 2. Under cabinet lights in the kitchen were only working under the cabinet to the right of stove. The rest were not. Cooking, serving, storage utensils—something to consider during the pandemic when most of us are cooking in, even on vacation: 3. The cooking pans are all old, and not especially clean and could use replacing. 4. There were tons of flatware knives but far too few forks. 5. The addition of some sort of cooking tongs would be helpful. 6. There are no storage containers with lids. While we did bring our own foil and some ziplocs, it would be nice if there were a few glass pyrex with lids to use as well. We love the Legacy Villas and we will definitely be back! Great Place, but annoying communication!

The condo and complex were great! Very quiet, nice pools (with reasonable Covid procedures in place) and clean. My only complaint is that the company that manages the property (California Vacation Villas) sent me 6 texts, and at least 10 emails about checkin/chekout reminders and contract details (on top of the standard few that VRBO sends) It was way too many, and made the actual info that I needed (address, door code, checkout time) difficult to locate because I had to sift through so many communications. Tone it down! One info email plus a receipt email would have been plenty. 3 stars for check in process due to this, although check in itself via door code was very easy.

Relaxing little getaway

Came here with my family (spouse and 2 kids) to swim and spend time together. The many pools were great. The pools were limited to 10 people at the smaller pools and 40 at the main pool with 2 hour blocks on the weekends. We came during the week so wristbands were not needed for the pool. We were able to spend as much time as wanted in the pool without feeling rushed due to Covid limits. As for the condo itself, it served our needs, but was less than desirable. The place needs a deep clean. The kitchen cabinets and drawers had food crumbs in them, there was dust on the ceiling fans, and food wrappers and trash under the sofa bed. If you like cooking, be prepared the pots, pans, and utensils are limited and we had to get creative. Thankfully the surface areas were clean, the bathroom was clean, as well as the common areas. Despite a few issues of cleanliness, we still had a great time.

Great location

Not a perfect place due to a few things which bothered us but many may not care about...poor lighting., lamps had different lightbulbs which made the room not so cozy. Stains and burn marks on carpet, stain on coffee table. Bed comfortable. Clean. Quiet. Best part is location. Nearby old town La Quinta which we thoroughly enjoyed

Great location to relax

This was a beautiful location with lovely pools and hot tubs, fountains and gardens. The villa was very clean and had the basics of everything we needed. I appreciated the secure wireless internet and free phone calls within the US and to Canada. It was nice and quiet here and we liked using the patio to enjoy meals and a drink outside. While there are only 2 gas barbecues in the common area - we never had to wait to use them. Looking forward to our next stay here!

Nice, relaxing weekend

Overall, the home suited our trip. The location was perfect. Very quite and close to the pool. The unit is just a little dark in the afternoon because no windows are on the west side of the unit. Which does help however keep the unit cool since there is no direct afternoon sun. I would just recommend better lighting. Communication with the property manager was very easy and they were prompt to respond as we had a couple of minor issues that were easily fixed. My main complaint was not with the unit, but with the property. My wife and I walked around to six different spas and all of them were cold. Even after turning on the heater and waiting, they never heated up. Very disappointing as we were looking forward to sitting in the spa after dinner. Besides that, the grounds were very pretty and it was a nice complex.

Cute, quiet and enjoyable. La Quinta city is a ways from Palm Springs, but there are plenty of consignment shops to stop at along the way. We will definitely be back.
