Perfect Family Vacation!!

The condo was beautiful and was equipped with everything we needed for a fun beach trip. The oversized porch overlooking the ocean was outstanding and we spent a lot of time sitting and taking in the view. The beach was amazing! The pool was lots of fun for my granddaughter! It was a bonus that we were able to enjoy July 4th fireworks from our balcony . I would highly recommend this condo and the area to everyone!

Beautiful and Relaxing

The property was just as described in the listing. Sue was very informative and prepared us well for our visit. We loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves. Our son and daughter-in-law joined us for part of the trip along with our 2 grandsons. (4 yrs & 8 months) They had a great time playing on the beach and enjoying the beautiful pool. Great beach stay!

We've stayed in many vacation properties over the years and the way they are portrayed online is not always what you see when you arrive. However, that was not the case with this condo - looked exactly as expected. It was roomy, clean, plenty of supplies. Right on the beach - large patio - amazing view. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! Very clean, easy check-in procedures, and excellent views. Correspondence with owner was timely and accurate. The beach was a little smaller than we are used to and busier than we expected being a private beach, but we still had plenty of room. Loved the beach items provided since we flew and couldn’t bring ours!

We stayed a week at this property. The accommodations were very nice. Sue, the property manager was VERY responsive and helpful in answering my questions and emails. The view was awesome and we spent a lot of time on the porch, just people and ocean watching. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you Sue!

Cinnamon Beach getaway

A great location with a fabulous view and well-appointed amenities. Overall fabulous, the only downside was the somewhat treacherous underwater rocks at the beach. The condo was well appointed but the carpeting and outdoor furniture could do with a refreshing. Minor issues compared to the overall facility. Would gladly come again.

New Years at Palm Coast Pelican Watch

Our family trip for a long-awaited winter break was made exceptional by staying at a wonderful condo on the palm coast named Pelican watch. The resort area (grounds and exterior building) was well maintained, and the pool and weight room were in great condition and easy access from our condo. Upon entering the condo, you are stuck by its size of the living space and view of the ocean and beach. What you immediately noticed was the size of the patio. It was spacious and the furniture was in great condition. Every morning we enjoyed coffee out on this patio and in the evening, we watched the night sky after dinner. The house came stocked with all the basics that you need upon an arrival at a home. The availability of basic household items (towels, hand soap, dish soap, and toilet paper) was a huge plus for those of us arriving later in the evening. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained. The living and dining spaces were bigger than we expected. The dining room hardwood table made a perfect dinner and game table. The kitchen was a bit small but had nice appliances and was well stocked with pans, plates, glasses, and utensils. A big plus for a family vacation was the large pantry to store our groceries. The beach is wonderful in size, family friendly for beach games and to lay out in plentiful Florida sun. There are a lot of large rocks along the shoreline of the beach area at the condo that makes it a challenge to get into the water. But I found that if you go south by about 200 yards the rocks fade away and there are some great sandy beach areas for wading in the water. Overall, the beach area is very nice. At the boardwalk to/from the beach there is a shower area where you can wash off the sand when you were returning to the condo. One of the nicest touches about this area was that every day a very nice maintenance person would clear out the shower areas from the prior days sand deposited. It’s a little thing but made a big difference to have a clean area to wash off the beach sand prior to going to the condo. Staying at this condo was a joy and our excellent host Sue made sure we had all the paperwork taken care and she was super friendly and assisted us in making our trip an excellent time. So, if you are looking for a terrific place to take a break from reality Pelican watch is a great choice.

Beautiful Views

The condo has absolutely beautiful views! We enjoyed the large balcony and comfortable outdoor furniture. The complex is lovely and beautifully maintained. Sue was extremely helpful and added such a personal touch to the trip!

This place was great! Great view, great location, great communication. So clean and really, really well equipped. Our weather was not the best so it was nice to still be able to be in a condo with a perfect view to enjoy regardless of the weather. Wished we could have stayed longer!!

Another great stay!

This is our second year vacationing at hammock beach and it did not disappoint. There were a couple of minor hiccups that the property manager was unaware of when we arrived and they were incredibly fast at responding and fixing the issue. We will be returning next year!

Outstanding view!

The rental was well stocked and comfortable. Everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. Our biggest downside was our inability to sleep in because the window treatments let in too much early morning sun. We have the same problem every year. I say this not to knock a star off, but to let future vacationers know to bring a dark sheet or blanket to help with that if you are like me and are unable to sleep with the light. I loved sitting on the balcony and watching the ocean and waves and birds! Everyone spent time on the balcony every single day.

We had a great week. I loved the quiet pool and the beach. The rocks were a little intimidating but once we navigated those we had a blast in the waves. Beautiful condo with everything we needed. Everything about our stay was top notch. Sue is very communicative and gave us all the info we needed for a smooth and comfortable stay, including restaurant recommendations. The 2 pools in the complex are great, we enjoyed them both frequently as well as the hot tubs. Evening walks were so pleasant, many friendly people were out and about and willing to say hello and tell you where they are from. Low traffic in the area and very safe streets. The condo was so nice, lovely furnishings, all the comforts of home. The condo balcony is big and perfect for hanging out. The kitchen was fully stocked, we did not want for a thing. The only thing I suggest guests bring with them other than food is paper towels and tp. The kitchen even has seasonings provided. There is a Publix just around the corner and so easy to get to with no traffic. Something to be aware of if you like to swim or body surf, the beach is rocky. At high tide, you can't see the rocks, but as the tide goes out they become visible. It's ok for kids to play in the water at high tide, but I'd keep them close to the shore, and for body surfers, maybe wait until the rocks are visible before you head out with your board. You can get past them to a sand bar and more waves, but I wouldn't want to try to navigate them without being able to see them. The beach has a slope to it at high tide, but it evens out a bit at low tide and is easier to walk on then, especially with athletic shoes. Beautiful sand, even though it's got shells in it, it was not uncomfortable to walk on. This was our first stay in Palm Coast, and we will definitely be back. We discovered if you drive a few miles into town, up Palm Coast Parkway, there is every store you could want available. If you want unique shops and gifts, European Village is just down the road, but be aware it seems to mostly just be open and lively in the evenings, definitely not Mondays though. Probably Wed - Sat evenings would be the best time to go, maybe prior to 5 to catch the gift shops open. It took us 45 minutes to get to St. Augustine down A1A, there are plenty of unique shops/art there if that is what you are looking for. Prior to this, we had always stayed in St. Augustine, but the area has just become too crowded for us to feel totally relaxed. We enjoyed Palm Coast much more, it was truly a getaway from it all and the most relaxing beach stay we have had in years. I suggest checking Sue's website for all condo listings, we will be back!
