The farmhouse is beautiful, clean and very well equipped with lots of space for our group of 7. The pool is lovely and in an amazing spot with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. We appreciated all the activities provided on site which are more than lots of holiday homes provide. There are a couple of activities listed which aren't there (eg a gym) but Rebecca and Gary were very helpful and provided some equipment for the boys which was much appreciated. We were a bit disappointed that the bar/restaurant in the nearest village wasn't open, and the two nearest boulangeries were shut the week we were there but that was just bad timing! All in all we had a great holiday and would very much recommend the house as a holiday destination.

Very rude hosts

The house is very pretty and in an idyllic location with lots of facilities. We enjoyed using the pool and external eating area. Unfortunately, the hosts who live on site, were often visible and used the pool while we were there. They interrupted our last evening meal to insist that we ensured we cleaned the house to a professional standard. Although we did clean the house to a reasonable standard we have since been sent 3 abusive emails as the cleaning did not meet their standards.

Beautiful Holiday House

Amazing house, great location and lots to do in the surrounding area. House was extremely well equipped and Gary and Rebecca were lovely warm hosts. Would definitely look to return in the future.

Summer Holiday

We had a great stay, loved the pool and the house was very well equipped. It accommodated 9 of us with ease. Both Rebecca and Gary were very helpful and recommended some great places to visit during our stay. Would definitely recommend 😀

Wonderful house in beautiful rural location.

We loved our stay. The house is beautiful and was immaculate. Everything we needed plus more in the kitchen (which is unusual in our experience). Spacious bedrooms and indoor space. Pool was perfect. The outdoor spaces have been carefully planned so lots of comfy outside places to chill in and enjoy the stunning views. Pretty towns and villages round and about. And kids loved a day at La base de pleine nature at Poltrot. Rebecca and Gary were lovely hosts. Highly recommend.

Great place, well equiped and nice owners

We (2 families, 4 adults, 5 kids) loved our stay at Rebecca’s and Garys place. Their villa is clean, nicely decorated and well equiped. We loved the pool. The owners respect your privacy, but are close if you have questions or requests. The information guide provided is great. Supermarket and bakery are 8 minutes away and several hypermarches are 20 minutes away. There are Nice villages a short drive away, to go sightseeing or do some activities. Thank you Rebecca and Gary for having us! Lovely greetings Mark, Astrid, Marijn and Mariska and our 5 daughters.

Coup de cœur charentais

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cette maison si cosy qui mêle le charme de la campagne à l’allure anglaise. Une mention particulière pour la piscine et sa vue imprenable. Les coteaux de tournesols font de ces collines un véritable val toscan. Un petit coup de cœur également pour l’espace billard dans le jardin qui a animé nos soirées et pour la balancelle en bois donnant sur le soleil couchant.

Charming, modernised and well appointed old farmhouse in rural location on Charente/Dordgne border

Lemonie Farmhouse is a beautifully modernised and pleasant place for a quiet, rural holiday with family or friends, comfortably sleeping 10 people in 5 bedrooms. It was easy for our group of 3 generations, (aged 4-75,) to find space and activities, indoors and out to enjoy ourselves. We were greeted and well looked after by the friendly owners who were staying next door and are still in the process of developing parts of their estate. There is lots of outdoor space to enjoy, and a selection of interesting outdoor games: chess, pétanque, table tennis and football and and a nice swimming pool, though this is still quite new and rather open to the elements. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within a short drive of the house and the local village bar/restaurant is within walking distance - (for the young and fit,) though the nearest supermarket and most other services are in St. Severin about 10 minutes drive away. Ribérac and Aubeterre sur Dronne were very nice places to visit with a choice of restaurants and the latter having a fine river beach. We do feel that visitors should be aware that Lemonie Farmhouse is in a really quite remote place, even from Palluaud, the nearest village. Detailed instructions for going the last few miles would have been very useful as even our satnavs found it a bit of a struggle. Keep the local 'zip code' to hand and be prepared to drive across some un-tarred track! The wi-fi system was also rather flaky and slow at times but usually manageable. Over-all, however, the holiday was a great success and we can certainly recommend Lemonie as a very pleasant holiday house with everything one might need to keep a bunch of people happy in all weathers.

Week met vrienden

Met een groep van 10 volwassen hebben wij een fijne week beleefd in het farmhouse, wat redelijk is gerenoveerd, maar wel voorzien is van uitstekende bedden, goed uitgerust met meer dan voldoende glazen, bestek, Amerikaanse ijskast, handdoeken, stoelen, etc en een prachtig uitzicht. Het heeft eigenlijk maar 2 badkamers (de derde is een losstaand bad in de hoek van de ouderslaapkamer). Ideaal voor sportieve groepen, er is een petangue baan, een taffeltennistafel, een kinder-poolbiljart, een dartboard, badmintonrackets met net, en een uitstekend zwembad met voldoende ligbedden en een prachtig uitzicht. Er is geen airconditioning aanwezig, maar die hadden wij ivm de koele nachten niet nodig. Gary en Rebecca zijn geweldig attent, aardig en behulpzaam. Een punt van aandacht wat niet in de advertentie is vermeld: op 15 meter staat een vrijstaand gebouw waar een 2 persoons appartement voor de verhuur beschikbaar is. Indien dat verhuurd is zit je absoluut niet privé. Gary en Rebecca wonen in een vleugel van het farmhouse met eigen entree en zijn dus in de buurt.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans une maison propre, bien meublée, bien équipée (jeux et matériels pour enfant notamment) et conforme aux photos. Elle est situé au milieu de la campagne avec de belles vues sur les champs, dans un environnement très calme. La communication avec les propriétaires a été parfaite et l'accueil très chaleureux, merci à eux. A recommander vivement.

Jolie maison au calme au milieu des champs

Très bon séjour dans une maison rénovée et décorée avec soin. On s'y sent bien. Literie de bonne qualité. Cuisine bien équipée. Vue sur les champs depuis la piscine. Les propriétaires habitent juste à côté et gèrent la piscine matin et soir. Nous recommandons !

Séjour entre amis

Maison très bien aménagée, idéale pour un groupe ou une grande famille. Piscine impeccable et nettoyée tous les jours par les propriétaires qui vivent à proximité et qui sont disponible tout en étant très discret. Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine au calme dans un superbe cadre. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Fantastic Facility / Holiday

Fantastic facility with more than enough space for the ten people staying. Pool is exceptional as is the privacy: Owners were very attentive but not intrusive at all.
