THANK YOU for such a wonderful stay!!! The home was just perfect for my family to stay in when we attended a wedding in Bastrop, and then had our Christmas celebration as a family the next day...........it truly felt like we were MILES away from everything and everyone else, even though we were still very convenient to anything we needed in town..........thank you also for decorating the cactus with Christmas lights..............it was just perfect for us to place our gifts around, so the two toddlers could believe that Santa could find them even at a strange house in a forest............I loved the cactus decor throughout the house, and ESPECIALLY loved sitting on the back porch just swinging and taking in the whole weekend........thank you again!!...............we will be back!

The house first of all was very clean! Just spotless and so welcoming! This home would be so great for a family but I came with a friend to go to Round Top and she brought her dog. Gino loved the back yard and since it was fenced we didn’t need to worry about him! The location was so peaceful. We loved sitting on the back porch listenening to the rooster, the insects and the quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped for all our cooking needs and the dining space was large. The open area living/dining was so spacious! Sofas and beds were very comfortable!

Very clean place. It is an excellent place to bring your furry babies while enjoying a peaceful scenery. Second time at this property, it has everything you need to barbecue, enjoy fire pit and sit down and enjoy your family. If I could I would give it 10 stars. Be back soon.

Weekend retreat

A group of us ladies enjoyed a weekend retreat and the quiet and solitude this place provided. We appreciated being able to go for walks in the woods and having the security of knowing we were safe on the fenced in property. The house was clean and well furnished. We did wish the back yard area was a little more groomed/cleaned up. Owner was extremely nice and flexible to work with and was very quick with reply’s and answering my questions. It was quiet and peaceful.

We always love staying at the cactus house. Jim is a wonderful host and the house is always stocked with everything you could need, including snacks! They also provide a great selection of K cups to choose from. We will definitely be back!

Private, peaceful and beautiful

Everything is 100% taken care of…just like the pictures promise. The house is very well equipped with beautiful decorations, the kitchen has some spices and everything you need to cook and lovely decks off both sides of the house. a beautiful barbecue and a fenced yard.
