Clean, quiet, friendly, comfortable

We had a comfortable, quiet, peaceful stay in Lelani Estates. Everything was clean and relaxing from the long driveway buffering a quiet neighborhood road to the upstairs suite with lanai overlooking a back jungle. Krisy cares for her home and the surrounding healthy yard fringed with jungle sounds and sights. She was available to ask questions and talk story. Great visit!

My daughter and I stayed at this lovely home for three nights. The location was ideal for us. Necessities, such as gas and groceries, were close by and it was an easy drive to the Hilo area and the coastal areas to our east and south. Our host, Chrissy, was a pleasure. Communication was top-notch, both before and during our stay. This was our first time staying at a hosted rental and we wondered if privacy would be an issue - it was not. Chrissy was available if we needed her, but otherwise we barely knew she was there. We greatly appreciated her kindness and hospitality. The upstairs suite had everything we needed, such as microwave, coffee maker, mini refrigerator (with freezer), two beds (one a foldout futon) and a spacious bathroom. A second bathroom was available to us, as well. Our suite, linens and towels were clean. The house is surrounded by lush jungle foliage and accompanying nature sounds (birds and frogs), which we found relaxing, even late at night.No complaints and highly recommend.

Paradise

This is a 10 stay. The house is in a lush gardenic setting in a very quiet neighborhood. Christine was an excellent host and saw to our every need. The house was immaculately, clean with a beautiful upstairs balcony overlooking our lush yard. A wonderful place to have your morning cup of coffee. We stayed a few different places before reaching Christine‘s house, we were so pleased with her place that we canceled reservations elsewhere in order to stay at the lava house. I can confidently say that is the best deal on the island.

Staying in paradise

My grandson and I stayed a week with Christine while visiting Hawaii and my older brother. Right from the start Christine made us feel extremely welcomed - that Aloha feeling from start to finish. Accommodations were very comfortable and we especially enjoyed the photographs of local point of interests. Thanks Christine for all our great conversations, we had the best time with you.

Perfect Accommodations

We had a lovely stay with Christine . Our accommodations were perfect . Bed was comfortable and our space ,ideal . Lots of windows for the tropical breeze and a beautiful private deck to enjoy coffee on. Looking forward to booking another stay at The Lava rock retreat .

Lovely and Clean Place

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO rental! Here's a breakdown of our experience: Property: The place is very nice, exactly as described in the listing. Cleanliness: Everything was spotless and well-maintained. You can tell that the hosts take great care in keeping the property clean. Bathroom: The bathroom looks like it was recently remodeled and is modern and sleek. It made our stay very comfortable. Host: The host was great—very responsive and accommodating. Excellent Place to Stay !

Everything was as advertised. Beautiful setting & very clean & comfortable, and you can't beat the lush view off the upstairs balcony ! The owner of this property was a wonderful hostess. This a lovingly maintained property, and Christine is a gracious host. Youʻll marvel at the profusion of plants in her garden and in the rainforest that partly surrounds her property, all visible from a lovely lanai off this second-story suite! Unique, lovely, friendly

This is a special place owned and run by a special lady. The location is excellent with marvelous destinations nearby—if you can tear yourself away from the second floor deck ten feet away from the picture-perfect rain forest. Needless to add, it is highly recommended.

Wonderful Stay

My husband and I stayed here a couple nights on our honeymoon and we loved it! The property is in a lush, green environment and we went on runs/walks often to enjoy all the beauty. The room was wonderful, the shower had three shower heads, and the jacuzzi looks into a beautiful view of the greenery and sky. Christine was so thoughtful in providing everything we needed to feel comfortable, from house slippers to laundry amenities, and beyond. She also was very hospitable, gave helpful suggestions of activities available nearby. Overall a great experience!

Family Visit

We chose this property mainly because of how close it was to where our family lives in Pahoa. That being said, if we were to come visit again this property would definitely be a top choice. A great stay in a wonderful jungle neighborhood

My brother and I had a great stay at the house in Leilani estates. It was very peaceful and quiet. The house was nice and secluded in the Hawaiian jungle. There were lots of beautiful palm trees and various other kinds of fruit trees and plants. The hostess was great. She cooked a meal and invited us to share on several occations. She was a wonderful hostess. This was an overall outstanding stay at this location.

Great experience-Jungle feel with stars

This was my first hosted property, and at first I was hesitant. But as soon as I met the host-Krysti, I instantly felt welcome, and at the end of the trip was really glad I took the chance on something new. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to give food and activities recommendations. And one of my favorite things was the meditation room. I was there for work and pleasure so the room came in handy more than once haha. Oh and can’t forget about the jungle sounds and stars at night! Best sleep I’ve had in years! Highly recommend staying here, you won’t regret it.

Quiet retreat

This was a very relaxing and clean spot. The tree frogs chirping at night was extremely soothing. We felt safe and learned a lot about the island from Chrissy. Her cookies were to die for!

Excellent Time In Paradise

The property was beyond expectations and more than we could have imagined! The wildlife, nature and rainforest setting were simply amazing. Sitting outside soaking in the natural beauty is a highlight that will be treasured forever. Our impression is that the property is well maintained, and the value of nature is respected by the owners. Clean, charming and serene all come to mind when describing this property. A hidden treasure in paradise!

Owner lives in the house...didn't catch that when booking, but Christine is a wealth of knowledge and a pure joy to stay with! You have full use of the house...kitchen, laundry and amazing tub for soaking. The property is private with all, if not more, comforts of home. I would give Christine 10 star review if I could! Fantastic!

The house is tucked into the Hawaiian rainforest with various flowers and fruit trees all around. It sports a vibrant volcano theme and lots of relaxing natural lighting. The host, Krisy, is a master baker and crafter, having made some of the colorful and thematic furniture herself. A sublime experience!
