We had a lovely stay at Jack’s cottage. The house is beautifully appointed and the location is perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our trip to Pacific Grove. We would definitely return!

Wedding day

Our niece got married this weekend in Carmel. The Cottage at Lover's Point was a perfect place to stay for two couples. My sister and brother in law join us for a great four day weekend.We found so many quick day trips to make from Monterey to Carmel and everything in between. We also had many choices nearby for restaurants.The cottage is very clean and reminded us of a step back in time with the lovely neighborhood and many things to walk to, from the library to the historical museum to lover's point and more.The owner, Jack Chestnut, was very accommodating and communicative throughout our stay.Thank you so much!Ernie & Kathy7-26-2025

Perfect location, beautifully updated home

We absolutely loved this place! The location could not be better. Right across the street from Lover’s Point, which made walking over with our small children so easy. We also really enjoyed taking the walking path from Lover’s Point to the aquarium and Cannery Row. The home is beautiful; everything has been updated and was very clean. The owner provided lots of information, so we did not need to contact him during our stay, but he was very accessible. Highly recommend!

Best VRBO stay EVER

If you’re considering this property, just book it. It will not disappoint. This place is immaculate, beautifully updated, furnished and fitted with ultra modern touches like a brand new wash tower. The host, Jack, is considerate and always responded immediately or even proactively. Jack has thought of your every need. There are even heated floors in the downstairs bathroom- amazing. The beds and linens are great! The location is so convenient- walk or bike to everything in Monterey. Honestly, I’ve been renting with Vrbo and air b n b for 10 or so years with my family of 5, and this is by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. Thank you so much Jack for making Monterey our favorite spot in California!

Perfect Honeymoon

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the cottage for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for better communication with Jack, a more cozy cottage or a better location. Lovely Home!

Loved this cottage. It’s adorable and close to everything. Well stocked kitchen. We liked that it had off street parking, although there was plenty of street parking available. You can walk to restaurants and stores, or take a short drive.

Fantastic vacation!

This rental was perfect. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the living room spacious and comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was a welcome surprise after jumping in the ocean. Jack made sure our stay was perfect.

Loved our stay at Jack’s Cottage

We loved our stay at the cottage! The home was perfect and had everything we needed. The location is perfect! We walked out the front door and went to “the rocks” at Lovers Point every morning with our 9 year old and climbed on the rocks and watched sea otters. We saw dolphins too. Easy drives to Point Lobos, Carmel, Big Sur, and Santa Cruz. We did a lot of hiking and rented e-bikes and went to the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Jack was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend this home.

My Family of 4 Had a Perfect Stay!

My husband, 2 adult sons and I had a perfect stay. The home is beautiful, clean and did not disappoint in any way. Location is walking distance to the ocean (just as described), dining snd shopping. My favorite thing was sitting on the stoop or rocking chair just outside the door and drinking coffee. The beds were comfortable and we did not want for anything. We would love to return and stay longer next time. The owner, Jack, is great guy and host. Thank you so much!

AMAZING Cottage @ Lovers Point

The cottage at Lovers Point was perfect for our stay in the area. We were a family of 5 from the Midwest wanting to explore the California coast before heading to some National Parks. The cottage was centrally located, fully stocked, clean, and whimsical. The beds were comfortable, the sheets were soft and the property manager very responsive. We highly recommend!

Fell in love with Lover’s Point

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean, comfortable (especially the beds!!!), and conveniently located. We greatly appreciated that a pack n play was provided for our infant daughter.If we ever make it back to the area (which I really hope we do!) we would love to stay here again!

Valentines at Lovers Point

We loved our stay! The place is beautiful. Very clean and well cared for. Decorated really nice. Kitchen and bathrooms were new. We could just walk to restaurants and down to the point. Perfect location. Jack communicated with us about some repairs to one bathroom. He kept us informed and offered to give us a refund if we decided to change our mind. It all worked out and the bathroom was beautiful. We will definitely return.
