Very comfortable home for exploring the Ventura/ Santa Barbara area. We loved the open, sunny living area with a great view of the beach. It was a quiet oasis to come home to after a busy day checking out the coastal towns

We were there for three nights. The house is beautiful and it has all the amenities. Our family was very comfortable and got to relax. We were not there long enough to spend time in the city, we spent it mostly on the beach. It is very private, few people where we were. I would recommend water shoes, since there are areas with pebbles inside the water. Waves are great for boogie boards. Not as hot as I hoped, it was only 75. The firepit at the house works great, and so does the jacuzzi, it was great in the evening to make smores and chat.

We had a wonderful family time together and enjoyed our stay in the house, great location, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, good check in experience, easy to follow the rules for check out, close to shopping center, donuts place, cafe , and the beach, we liked our morning walks by the beach then walking to Mrs Olsen Cafe, we definitely will be back, thank you Marcie!!

Great location, perfect house for us. This sink faucet needs to be repaired (was loose when we got there) and we would have liked some hot pads/oven mits, and hand/face towels. Garage door also was not functioning. Other than this, it was really very wonderful!

House was so roomy yet cozy the view of ocean was beautiful we had a crazy windstorm n me n my daughters all slept together upstairs we felt safe n so comfortable. House is very well updated with everything you need, super clean would of loved a garage door opener but not a big deal! We enjoyed the jacuzzi so relaxing, already shared info with friends

Plenty of room is this beautiful home for 2 families of 4 to stay and spread out. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. We just walked across a quiet neighborhood street to be on the beach and gather shells. I drank coffee each morning while watching the waves from the one window that has a nice view of the water. I could see the waves crashing and people trying to surf. The hot tub was nice and the kitchen had what we needed to cook some meals. The rooms were comfortable. The living room/dining area was big enough for everyone to hang out together if we wanted and watch TV or play games. Very nice house and location.

Beautiful, clean, inviting, fun space that is beautifully renovated. Great location on the beach, close to restaurants, stores and other conveniences. Was able to easily connect with the Host when needed. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mandalay Beach house! Plenty of room for 8 adults and 4 children. Loved walking right out front to a private beach, enjoying the hot tub and the kiddos loved the large sandbox in the backyard. House and kitchen was fully stocked. We were bummed the ice maker was not working but freezer made plenty for our stay. We had a random yard maintenance visit on Thursday which was surprising but he didn't stay too long. Neighborhood was wonderful and everyone was very friendly! Thank you Marcie for a wonderful 40th birthday vacation!

The online photos and description accurately depict a nicely decorated, well appointed, beautifully themed interior. The views and proximity to the beach are second only to beach front homes. The location is also near shopping and dining. (Our only issue was the lack of ample ice production from the fridge. We had to buy ice twice during the week, as the ice maker averaged only about 10 to 20 cubes a day.)

Beautiful house, well equipped and perfectly clean. Weather was not very cooperative, too cold and windy for beach time. The huge sand box in the fenced patio area saved the day!!!

Lovely property with some nice touches, like live orchids in the rooms. Beautifully updated. Quick walk to the beach and some beach views. The area is fantastic and the beach was pretty quiet in Feb. Listing is accurate and owner communicates respectfully. Would visit again.

Very relaxing stay. Daily walks on the beach. Loved the newness of the decor. Very spacious. Enough quiet spaces in the house in case you need some quiet time away from the group. Ate almost all our meals at the house: well stocked kitchen. Two marinas close by for Paddle boarding (Ventura Harbor and Channel Islands). Double check for Yoga class times. Sunday's class at 5:30 was a no show. PERFECT for 6 adults and 4 kids.. GREAT Memories!

My family of five and my brothers family of four rented this vacation rental for three nights this September. We wish we could have stayed longer! The location of this home is fantastic, The beauty, layout and quality of this home is exceptional. Everyone had a comfortable and restful night sleep in their own bed, the kitchen table and island was more than enough room for our family, the sectional was extra big for when we were able to gather in the evening, and the fire pit was a really nice touch. The style and decor was gorgeous. We enjoyed every part of our stay. We especially liked the minimal check out of the home! I would definitely read all the notes the owners attach to the check in as it answers a lot of questions. We had plenty of towels for everyone which we washed in the evening for the next day. There was a large park at the end of the neighborhood just a few streets down, and of course the beach was steps away. It is rare to find a place that is so close to the beach with quality and style. Thank you to the owners for sharing their place with us! I hope we have the opportunity to travel here and stay again! Also, there is a great mom and pop local bakery just outside of the neighborhood that has homemade donuts, pastries, croissants etc in the morning for your crew! (Heavenly Cakes and More)

Love this house! It's a great size and great location. The decor is so chic, a great combination of Restoration Hardware and Shabby Chic. The pictures don't do the head on Ocean View justice, you can see the waves from everywhere you sit in the living room. You just walk outside straight to the beach. There is lots of guest parking on Mandalay Beach Blvd just a few houses away. We rode bikes to Channel Islands Harbor, we hung out on the beach, we shopped Ventura. Great central location to everything. Don't miss the Farmer's Market at the Harbor on Sunday morning. The house is very comfortable for families or groups of friends. Highly recommend!!

Our family of 10 stayed in this wonderful house to celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The great room was 'perfect' for all to gather throughout our stay. the home is well appointed from furnishings to day to day necessities. The beach is extraordinary from size to how quiet it was - it felt like our private beach. The house provides beach toys and the like. This is a perfect house for multi-generational families to enjoy each others company.

The house was perfect. Two master bedrooms w king beds (although the upstairs one not as nice as downstairs one). Short walk to the beach, great suggestions from owner for restaurants. Communication w owner excellent, very responsive! Our 3 grandkids loved the beach, back yard w sandbox perfect for the 3 yr old. Hot tub fantastic. We had a great time!

First of all this property is a nice home in a nice location. Backyard sand box area is great for kids. Jacuzzi had vents missing inside but worked fine. After arrival we found different issues which were communicated with the owner and were able to be resolved. The refrigerator was missing shelves in the door which made us have to use coolers to keep some of our items cold. The house needs some TLC. Living room couches had holes in them from wear, upstairs patio furniture had two chairs and table with rusted out leg which I had owner remove as it was a hazard. There was an exterior light hanging by wires. some of the pillows/ furniture were dirty. I did not notify owner as I wasn’t willing to spend my time on vacation pointing out issues that owner needs to take care of on a house walk through. I don’t feel that this house was recently remodeled as advertised.
