Marvelous Maine Getaway

Great location, quiet (except low flying aircraft at times in the early mornings (7:30am), cute and charming cottage with enough amenities to make our stay a relaxing one. Even with all the windows open the summer heat on the 2nd floor was uncomfortable at times, but the fans made it bearable. The view was beautiful during high tide. It was an overall nice stay. The best part was location…so many charming harbors to visit and lots of hiking options!

Our family had a great time in our week stay at this lovely property. The house is beautifully done and the yard and view of the cove are perfect. And so much to do and see in the nearby mid-coast communities, and the state park beach is a short walk away. Highly recommended.

The perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is in a great location - it’s close to the town of Rockland, but it has so much privacy and is tucked away in the woods - you are able to put your kayaks in the water, they are situated next to the cove. - the sunsets are beautiful from the back deck - it’s walking distance to a beach The house was very comfortable for the four of us - the kitchen had everything that we needed - the bedrooms were very private - they have two bathrooms with showers - the TV room was separate from the open area where the kitchen, dining room and sitting room were I would highly recommend this place to anyone & would stay there again. Donna was a great host with very clear information & directions

Perfect Maine Getaway

We loved our stay at Donna's warm, peacefully decorated, scenic home. Early mornings and evenings on the deck overlooking the water were a favorite time for meals spent watching the tide moving in and out, viewing various birds, and enjoying the sunlight on the rustling trees. Donna was fully stocked with paper and kitchen supplies. This home was the perfect base for exploring the Rockland and Camden areas or remaining in Owl's Head.

Beautiful Birch Point Cottage

We just spent another wonderful week with our family at Birch Point Cottage! Donna’s place is truly exceptional. The tasteful decor and comfortable furnishings are terrific, but what really makes this place special is the beautiful setting. We look forward to returning again!

Beautiful home on beautiful property

The house is exactly as pictured and described. Its well stocked and very clean. The location is very private and super quiet. Three large comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths gave everyone their space. The yard is well maintained and the view is phenomenal, especially at high tides. Communication with the owner was great, very responsive and easy to reach. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.

Fun and relaxing

Never disappointed

We have been renting Donna's cottage regularly for several years now. It is a wonderful, special place. Donna does an amazing job keeping it fresh and welcoming. We had friends from home stop by this year (who happen to have their own lovely cottage on the Pemaquid Peninsula), and they raved about the setting, the decor, and the charm of the cottage. We will be back next year!

Peaceful retreat

The house was immaculate and very well equipped. We packed way more than we needed. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great. The Wi-Fi was more than adequate for our needs. Very close to great shops and restaurants in Rockland, Camden, etc. Walmart only 3 miles away. We had a great stay, and would go back in a heartbeat.

Magical

We loved staying in this secluded and spacious cottage. I could have watched the tide and sea birds forever. An easy 10 min drive to Rockland where there is plenty to do, the house were perfect for cooking, reading, relaxing. We had days of rain and fog - so especially appreciated the interior spaces. Donna is a wonderful and helpful host and has decorated the house beautifully. We hope to return!

Beautiful house and great location

Donna’s house is extremely well cared for and it shows. She thought of everything! The house is well stocked and well appointed. Very simply decorated but so tasteful and comfortable. The location is great for day trips and exploring all around the coast of Maine. The house is extremely private and relaxing.
