Overall the unit was very clean when we arrived (minus the BBQ which is small and a bit too dirty with broken shelves on the sides).
Beds are comfortable, but the big drawback is that, while there are innumerable pillows, none of them are comfortable. Some feel like bags of foam bits, others are incredibly flat, but none are great. Bring your own pillow.
The unit is large, but the kitchen is a bit tight. That said, the kitchen has all the pots, cookware, plates and glasses you'll need. Definitely a plus as we cook most of our meals. Coffee maker needs a serious descaling done. Appliances are almost new and work well. Fridge is large and clean. Dishwasher is excellent too.
This part is partially my fault. I looked at a lot of listings from Rivergrass and I thought this unit had a nice outdoor space. It does not, despite being an end-unit on the ground floor. Many other units like it had an outdoor space with a table and chairs. There certainly is enough space and this would have improved our experience. There was no outdoor seating, save for one lone plastic chair.
Water was pooling in the shower, but we contacted the property management and they were there within about 30 minutes. We were impressed with the staff and how responsive they were.
The pool area is nice and appears well maintained. Everyone was respectful. The downside was that of the five days we were there, the hot tub only worked properly 1 of those days. That's a bit disappointing.
So when you take into account how much it cost to rent this unit, I expect better. An outdoor space, a working hot tub, decent pillows and a clean BBQ. That would have made this a 5 start stay.
