"Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style."
"Property was hard to find in the dark a bigger lighted sign would help. Parking is tight if a person with a large truck parks beside you. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Bed was comfy. I will go back if I need a port in a storm again "

We stayed for a week and the card in the room said we would get room service halfway through our stay if we wanted it. We put the card out to service the room but they didn’t do it.
