Elevator wasn’t working at the time that people were checking in and when we needed to bring a lot of things down to our car. We needed to take the stairs down from the 5th floor and had to lug our luggage and a ton of bags down the stairs. Not fun. And, parking is not onsite or convenient to location of this particular Sondor.

I wish they recycled and had a green bin option. The room was clean, quite and very comfortable. It was nice to have dish soap provided.

Personnel très disponible et bienveillant. Appartement propre, silencieux et confortable. Problème rencontré: incapable de compléter l'inscription en ligne avant l'arrivée à l'établissement. Le code postal? Pour le Canada 1 mais aucun choix Canada, vraiment pas clair. Heureusement, même sans code pour pour entrer, j'ai dû attendre une heure, un préposé à l'accueil, pour l'obtenir.

We were in room 200, which is at the back of the building. The ventilation was terrible - we had smells (food, cigarettes) coming in through the vents, and couldn't open the window when we cooked so all our clothes ended up stinking. The location and facilities were good though - good gym and laundry room was free. Staff were friendly and helpful, except for we asked for some maintenance because our door squeaked and no one ever came. On the sustainability side, the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were in bulk dispensers, which is great! Nice products too. But there was still a small bar of soap and some body lotion in mini packaging - these should be replaced by bulk products too. And the toilet paper rolls and dishwasher tablets were individually wrapped - what a waste of packaging. Those things should be improved.

This is a great quality and affordable option in downtown Ottawa. A few steps to the NAC, National Gallery and about a 30min walk to the Canadian Museum of History. Not a lot of late night food options nearby, but that’s Ottawa.

Overall it was a great stay, however, I was given no warning about the construction happening directly outside my window and was incredibly shocked to be looking straight at someone looking straight back at me

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à l’hôtel Sonder. Notre appartement était propre et avait tous ce dont nous avions besoin. J’ai fait un erreur en cliquant sur check out dans l’application et le personnel à rétablis la situation très rapidement et professionnellement. Je recommande cet établissement.

It was ok overall, great location, handy access with pin codes instead of cards, lockers to leave luggage after checkout as needed, functional...however the mattress was too firm, not comfortable at all compared to surrounding hotels. Also, there was a fire alarm one evening which is understandable, it happens but keep in mind these are self contained units with kitchenette so practical, but at the same time alarms are more likely to go off as people are cooking with oven and the fan is not very powerful.

Smooth check in and check out process. Room was clean and complete with essential amenities, and aesthetically pleasing with modern set up. Front desk and cleaning personnels were friendly and accommodating to questions and inquiries. Located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Will surely book another Sonders next time.

Excellent Location. Staff are friendly. It is convenient to have the laundry facilities onsite (no charge). The keypad at the entrance of the building didn’t work, unless you press real hard. They should replace it. I did get too many email reminders from their App, which was annoying. Did not know that this runs like an Rbnb.

I’ve had an amazing stay at Sonders Arlo. Very clean and staff was friendly. If I ever visit ottawa, I will book my stay with them again. The only downside was finding parking, which is understandable since it’s located in downtown. There are designated parking areas but for an hourly price.

The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage and the room in general was nice. I had requested a room clean on the second day as there was hair when I first got there and a lot of dust bunnies everywhere. They came and redid the bed but did not vacuum and there was more hair in the bed, I don’t have any hair so it couldn’t have been mine. The ac/heating was weird, I had put the ac on as it was hot, but it kept switching back to heating in the middle of the night. I ended up turning the whole system off but it would randomly turn back on. The ventilation system for the oven is not great, someone made food at 1am and the smell was intense in my room.

Clean, great location. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. On site parking would be nice. Sonder has another location 2 blocks away with underground parking which we were able to use for $25/day. A little inconvenient but no big deal. Only a 5 minute walk. Kitchenette was great and bed was very comfortable. Early check-in was available but only by paying an extra fee even though the room was ready to be occupied which was a bit of a turnoff and the only way to deal with this was through the app. They had storage lockers in the basement intended to store luggage before check in time if needed however the lockers were all in use so we really had no other option but to pay the early check in fee. $30 cost allowed us to check in one hour earlier. Check in instructions are supposed to be emailed 72 hours before checking in however I didn’t receive it and had to call the morning of check-in to have it sent to me. Aside from the few things it is a great place to stay in Ottawa!
