This is an inexpensive option for those who want to stay within 15 minutes of Starved Rock State Park. It was decorated tastefully but minimally. There were very few kitchen dishes but enough that we were able to cook.
Things I wish I would have known:
-Listing is an apartment, not a house.
-It is very close to train tracks. The train never woke us up, but was loud during the day.
-Only toilet paper and hand soap are provided in the bathroom (no shampoo, hair dryer, etc.).
-No grill or area to put one.
-Only 3 non-stick skillets to cook with as well as a few plates, glasses, utensils and silverware. A coffee maker with coffee pods and salt and pepper were the only other things in the kitchen.
-There is very minimal living room furniture including a very small couch (small enough my husband and I couldn’t sit on it together), 2 small decorative chairs, 1 small side table and a TV on a stand.
This was a clean, conveniently located apartment in a great location to several nice restaurants. While it lacked amenities, it was a great value, and we would stay here again if it was just the 2 of us.
