"The rising phoenix or Akuma Village (how the locals call it) is a simple and lovely Place to stay. The Beach is just 1 Min away. The Staff is verry kind and the food is fresh & excellent. It is a place where you can feel a lot of Love amongst the people. We had the luck to participate at a Reggae Soundsystem Dance with local artists to proof their talents. What a Vibration and high Energy!

"Eric, the manager, went out of his way to secure me an 'on arrival' visa and was a dilligent host. Staff were all really nice and as a Cultural Centre as well as hotel, does vital work with local children, teaching them self esteem using drumming and dancing which I gladly took part in. Good Luck Akpe!!"

"I have stayed in many hotels around the world, and I can truly say, the staff at the Brookvale hotel are 2nd to none. They are professional, courteous, caring and go above and beyond their duties. they are a real credit to the hotel and the manager and I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family."
