Amazing family vacation spot, highly recommend!!!

Very nice 5 BR with 5 1/2 Bath with spaces for everyone! We rented a boat for a couple of days but enjoyed just staying at the house too... great dock with a slide, paddle boat and large float to play on or relax. 4 bedrooms have a deck plus the large one out front. Hospitality in the area was amazing - we'd love to come back!

Excellent Property!!

The property exceeded expectations, surpassing the description provided. It was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Communication with the property owner was excellent, ensuring a seamless experience. The location proved to be ideal for our needs. We would gladly choose this property again for future stays. The spacious back deck offered ample seating for all guests.

We used this property as a place to stay for my bachelorette, then went to our family’s home for the majority of our weekend. Worked well and the host of the home was responsive, overall we had a good experience!

A week of fun and sun at the Lake

The house is in a perfect quiet no wake cove. Our family enjoyed the beautiful August week at the lake, the weather was perfect and the water was great. The house was clean had everything we needed and plenty big for our large families. We spent most of the time out enjoying the deck, dock and lake. The boat slip fit my 23' boat with no problems and room for the Jet Skis on the side. We fished off the dock and caught large catfish and plenty of sunfish for the kids. The house is close to the city for shopping.

August getaway to lake

Great vacation at wonderful VRBO at mm13. Very nice property, well appointed with lots of space for family. Lovely views out bedroom balconies overlooking lake and dock. Kids loved water activities. Would gladly book again!!

Great Family Vaca

We had an amazing family vacation at this property! The house was clean, well laid out, & obviously professionally managed & designed. Beds were comfy too. The deck is great for large groups. We spent most of our time swimming off the pier on the big mat that’s provided. The diving board & slide were fun as well. We will definitely be returning!!

Great fishing and swimming right off the dock!

My family of four enjoyed our relaxing week here. Fished in the morning. Swam in the evening. When issues arose with the house, communication was timely and issues were addressed. House was in great shape and perfect for our family. We spent most of our time outside and there is an abundance of space to relax, eat, fish and play. Fairly quiet channel with opportunities to check out other boats and very cool docks. Tons of bluegill, bass and catfish.

Dirty and ran down with garage sale quality furniture

Our first impression of the house was it looks nice and updated inside. But once you start to use items that impression quickly changes. The appliances are old. The coffee maker didn’t work. The base gets hot but interior water heater doesn’t work, so no coffee. The toaster lever does not engage and shoots sparks. We couldn’t use either and they were not replaced during our stay. Owner said we didn’t know how to use the coffee maker… seriously? The deck was filthy and had debris everywhere and long term filth, dust and dirt. Layers of it. We called the owners for them to clean it and they tried ( again) to explain it away as “ tree pollen building up fast”. This was not short term filth. They cleaned it the morning of our 2nd day and it stayed clean the rest of our stay, no build up at all. They also wasted 45 minutes of our time whining & complaining about having to clean it. He brought a leaf blower and water hose. The dock has rotten boards with holes through to the water. The diving board has rusted through and is unusable. Not secured to it’s base/mount any longer. Be careful the railing is very loose going down the stairs to the dock. The grill was not clean. The floors turned our feet black so we mopped them ourselves. The upstairs hall bathroom door will not shut and the door knob does not work. The shower curtains in both bathrooms have a clear shower curtain liner that is covered in thick soap scum to the point it looks white. In the tub they have placed anti- slip mats and they have mildew underneath. The floors are beautiful and the countertop in the kitchen is gorgeous. The decor is nice. The beds were lumpy.?? The furniture is painted garage sale quality pieces. Paint chipped off in areas. Except the gold couches in living room, they sat comfortably. Take photos upon arrival & departing. Buy insurance. They expect you to strip beds, do laundry and haul it all down to lower level. But they do not tell you this. Instead they will charge you an extra $300. We bagged trash and left it inside after the bin was full outside but they didn’t like that. The fridge has expired condiments in the door, entire door is full. They encourage you to leave unused food in the fridge. We had a very odd unsettling experience with these owners. We travel a lot, Virginia, Texas, Oahu Hawaii, Mexico, Branson, St Louis, etc To name a few recent trips. Our stay in this rental has been over shadowed by the people who ran it.

Great vacation rental

Our family had a great time at this property. It had everything we needed. It was in a great location. The property was clean. The kids enjoyed the slide, diving board and paddle boat as well as the lake toys. We would highly recommend.

Amazing last lake weekend 2021

Second time staying at this house this year, it is fabulous. The set-up in unbeatable. Comfy beds, clean and plenty of room for fun! Great outdoor spaces! Love this place. Will be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Great location in quiet cove

It was the perfect setting for an adult trip. There were some maintenance opportunities such as replacing outdoor light bulbs, broken outdoor chairs, broken dishwasher (which was getting fixed after we left). It would have been nice to be given more dish detergent since we had to hand wash everything, but I never asked for more. The dogs next store were friendly and we liked the morning visits! The house met at all of our needs. I would go back.

Awesome Labor Day weekend at the lake. House was perfect. Dock is awesome, kids absolutely loved the slide and diving board. Set up is amazing. Only a few steps for be dock, my knees are still happy. Beds were very comfy. Can’t wait to come back.

Responsive host

This is a very nice location on a cove where many boaters anchor up. We had as much fun swimming off the dock as we did boating in the area. We did run into a small problem with the home, but the owner and manager responded very quickly and had a service person out who resolved the issue within a few hours. There is plenty of parking space but the driveway is very steep and a little tough with a trailered boat - the owner offered another location to park the trailer, but we made out fine in the driveway. If we go back, I will put the boat in at Shawnee Bend Access before going to the house as it would be much easier with an empty trailer. Our 24’ boat fit perfectly in the slip, and there are many restaurants within easy boating range 5-30 minutes depending where we went. Would be happy to return or rent any of this owners other homes!

Awesome place

This place is amazing. The dock is so close to the house and the rental owner was very nice and helpful. If you stay here you won't be disappointed. Yes it also has a Wetsteps ladder.

This was a great place for my family to get away together. It was clean and had everything we needed. They enjoyed the swimming and doing video watching. Having the water pad, slide and diving board gave lots of options for activities. We took our kayaks and it was a great place for this. Thanks

The fishing was Great!

We took our parents (77 & 81) to the lake for fishing. This house has a great covered dock, which was essential because it rained the first 2 days. There weren't a lot of steps down to the lake, which was helpful. The inside of the house was clean and nicely decorated. Wish the deck would have been cleaned off because it was slick when the tree debris was wet. Other than that it was perfect.

Enjoyed lakeside views

Great location and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. Lots of room for our family's quick spring break getaway. The driveway is pretty steep and the kitchen floor was really sticky when we first arrived. But overall a great stay - would love to come back in the summertime.

Wonderful holiday getaway!

My children and I decided late that we wanted a getaway for the Thanksgiving break. We loved the pictures and description of the home and were excited about staying there. The property exceeded our expectations!!! The layout was perfect for the 3 of us, and included everything we needed for a socially distanced, isolated home away from home. We loved sitting on the deck and dock to watch the birds and fish and waking up every morning to the sunrise over the lake! We even had the pleasure of watching a squirrel through the kitchen window every morning as it returned each day to the neighbor's yard to eat bird seed that fell out of the bird feeder. We brought our groceries with us and ate all of our meals in the spacious kitchen and dining area or the deck. Our time there was secluded and so joyful! We highly recommend this property to anyone interested in a great stay at the lake. We can't wait to go back!
