The house that we ended up staying in was not the house that we had booked and paid for originally. One week to us actually checking in the host texted and said that the house that we had paid for was no longer available for our stay offered us a subpar home that did not meet our needs. When we asked if they had anything else available they simply said there’s this or you can cancel.. because I had houseguest flying in it was too late to cancel reservation and find another. When we arrived, the floor plan that the host had sent me did not match what the house actually offered. There was dirt and scar marks all over the walls, black mold on the ceiling of two of the upstairs bathrooms the petition between the pool and the sidewalk was broke which we had to make work because we had an infant with us. The upstairs bedroom locks did not work. There were not enough bedrooms as stated for the adults that were staying with us. Furniture in the home was actually broken that we couldn’t sit. The dishwasher was broke and there had to have been something wrong with the water because within two days everyone in the house was sick with either vomiting or diarrhea when I address this with VRBO they simply sent out a maintenance person who did do some repairs like the lighting that was dangling from the ceiling and wire was exposed, and he put a fresh coat of paint over the mold on the ceiling in the bathrooms. I have stayed in several VRBO‘s and have never had an experience as bad as this.
