Pro and Contras

The house was clean and had all the necessary kitchen equipment. The space is a little smaller than the photos, but it's still very comfortable for a large group. The beds were comfortable for us. However, the house needs more care and attention. The owner is very responsive to any need. Cable and Wi-Fi are no problem. Pool ideal.

Great place to stay for large group

We had a brilliant couple of weeks. The location of the villa is great, overlooking a small lake at the back of the property and villas either side but didn't feel that it lacked privacy. There were plenty of beds giving us good choice on who should go in which room to fit the dynamics of our mixed group of teens and adults. Beds were clean and comfortable.The villa is a little dated but everything worked as expected. Pool was lovely and clean when we arrived and was regularly maintained throughout our stay so was always sparkling. Only things worth noting is that several of the poolside chairs are broken and could do with replacing. Also hot tub timer doesn't work properly so will continue to run for hours if not manually switched off, this means it can get VERY hot which could be a safety concern, especially if you have younger children.

Filthy

Everything started great..we asked for an early check in and they accommodated us. We thought things were off to a great start until we walked in the house. The door was already unlocked when we arrived. The house was FILTHY. Floors dirty, cabinets covered in food, bathroom door covered in who knows what, bugs crawling on the floors and in bathtubs (i know its florida..bugs are common) I informed the manager of our concerns and she sent someone over to clean the house again...while we were already there. She sent someone the next morning for the ants crawling everywhere. The house needed more than someone to come clean the surfaces. This house needs a DEEP CLEAN. Dust in the vents, under all beds, windowsills had dust and dead bugs. It was just filthy everywhere. The sheets were disgustingly stained. The pool area had broken chairs. After a few days our swim suits started to smell AWFUL from the pool. Dishwasher wouldn't get dishes clean, so we hand washed all dishes for 12 people. Overall, it was not a great experience and I would not recommend this house to anyone.

Excellent Stay!

Very happy, the house was clean, pool was excellent. I was very happy that it was all tile and wood floors - no carpet so the floors were all very clean. Everything was nice and in working order, plenty of space for 15 of us. The house is also next to the management land, so no houses directly behind us. We saw Sandhill cranes, ducks and turkeys while swimming. Hot tub was simple and easy to use- and warm. Definitely would rent this home again.

Misleading

Desperately maintenence needed. Jacuzzi leaked, had to add cold water daily. Garbage disposal and dishwasher didnt work. Advertising for 18 to 20, day before arrival i was in formed 18 maximum. Paid for pool heating and because of having to add cold water it was always cold...Bedding old and outdated.otherwise lots of room and nice resort.

Golf trip stay

Overall this home met our needs for an 8 guy golf trip. Home is a bit dated (furniture, cupboards etc) but wasn’t a deal breaker. There was a list of things that needed maintenance or updating that I let the host know about. He acknowledged it and said he would advise the property manager. Pool and hot tub were great. Our host was very good at responding.

Eighth golf stay at this great home!

We just got back from an annual golf trip with eight guys. We always stay at the same house because everyone gets their own bedroom. As always, we were pleased with the house and will be booking next year soon. It is a great location. I have communicated over the years with the owner from time to time, And he has always very responsive and helpful. Looking forward to further trips and stays at this home.Emmett L.

Worth it for the price

The house is huge and easily fit our whole group. We had 18 people, plenty of beds for everyone, and the space was big and comfortable. It could’ve been cleaner but it wasn’t dirty. Nothing that I felt was too unsanitary. Check in was easy and for the price we paid I think it was absolutely worth it.

DIRTY HOUSE, ROACHES, DO NOT STAY THERE

I do not leave bad reviews but this time I am because I do not want people go through what we went. What it was supposed to be an amazing end of the year family gathering was a very uncomfortable stay in a run down dirty house, with cockroaches, humidity smell. It was not what we expected at all, and the worse was the lack of empathy or response from the host. To start the house had a terrible smell like humidity, we had to wash all the linen, the trash from one of the bathrooms was full, maybe from the previous guests, I could not use the towels because smelled horrible, had to tell my husband who joined us the next day, to bring towels from our house, they didn’t provide even the essentials like soap for the bathrooms (I accept no shampoo or conditioner, but at least soap com’on), we found roaches in the rooms, the grill was disgusting so we couldn’t grill. We contacted the host to see if we could switch to another house and he was rude. We did not insist because it was New Year’s Eve and we just wanted to enjoy as a family, so we suck it up but honestly it was very uncomfortable. This property should be taken out of VRBO available properties list. Really really bad house and host. I sent pictures of everything as proof and still neither the host nor VRBO want to reimburse at least 50% or negotiate. Very bad experience with this company.

8 of us stayed here for a Disney vacation. The location was perfect. It was literally minutes to the parks. Check in could not have been easier! The staff was extremely friendly, and even joked around with us quite a bit. The houses in this resort are a bit dated, but so are most rental properties in Orlando. Need to update and check before renting property

The internet was down for the first day of my stay and had to have cable company to cover out to fix. One of the rooms had bed bugs.

20 hour drive Disney getaway

This our 4th time going to Disney from South Texas. A 21 mile drive and our second time staying at emerald Island resort . This was far better then the last times. The house was very comfortable and spacious. It might had been better with more pans but we managed with what we had. And Walmart is also only 9 minutes away. We enjoyed cooking breakfast every morning before leaving to Disney. Our family was a group of 19. Each one of our daughters and there husbands had there own room. With rooms left over for the grandkids. The pool was a big hit with the kids for the evenings. The adults enjoyed bike riding around the resort, then a quick stop at the tiki bar for a mix drink from inez, (the bartender) she makes great strawberry daiquiri with whip topping. Didn't get to enjoy the miniature golf since it was late. But did got to use the large pool at the club house. We got to take the kids to the near by playground 3 blocks away. It was a picture perfect vacation. The house the resort and of course Disney. If there is anything to complain about it would be that the restroom doors didn't lock even in the lock position,only the master suite locked. But over all we have no complaints about the house. Look forward to going again for our next vacation. And hopefully get to play the miniature golf .lol

Nice space but …..

The listing states free parking, the parking is free but you have to buy a “parking pass” for each car that you have to access the “resort”. There is a lot of damage in the house to the walls, furniture etc. You can see paint that was dripped on the floor, you can see the brush strokes on the walls and doors and it just makes it feel cheap and at the price per night it is not cheap. The doors to each room are very thin and cheap feeling. I found many of the curtains were just cut up sheets. I specifically asked if they had addressed the recent reviews of the house being run down and needing a refresh. I was told “those things are addressed after each stay” they obviously have not been addressed in a very long time. We found out 8 days into our 11 day stay that the pool pump had been broken the entire time we were there and we were not told! We only found this out because the pool repair man was parked in the driveway when we returned and we asked him what he was doing. This angered me immensely as we had small children and this was very dangerous to have them swimming in unfiltered untreated water! We also had several plumbing issues and the “Manager” said the repair man only needed access to the outside but we got back and found they had been in the house and moved many things. I felt like they could have easily sent a text saying this repair man came and fixed whatever just to let us know that people had been in the house while we were out.
