Short but sweet stay

I booked this home as a quick stopover after our Universal Studios trip, and I’m so glad I did! The house had everything we needed. We loved the pool, hot tub and sauna. My younger siblings couldn’t get enough of the bedroom/game/movie room with the pool table. But for me, the sunset was my favorite! So beautiful and peaceful! We’re already talking about coming back! Thanks Paul and Austin!

Cool House, Many Compromised Features

Check in was poor, needed gate code and had to bug people to get it. Many features that I paid a premium price for fell very short: smelly unkept hot tub, pool with low water unkept and cold, very large holes in screened in porch, sauna did not work, poor craftsmanship in many areas of home, smelly dishwasher, terrible bedding and mattresses, whole bottom floor smelled like Febreeze, animal feces on master bedroom deck railing. Great theater room with pool table and cool old arcade game.Very cool home but most premium features that warranted high nightly rate were essentially useless. Only stayed for 1 night, would have been livid if I went there with a group or for a long stay.

Lake Gem needs a little polish. Paul (property owner/maintence) was great. If there was normal TLC I’m sure the property would look and feel 100%. That being said…9 family members arrived and left happily.

AMAZING

This house was an unexptected surprise. Gorgeous lake views and very close to the Amway center. We loved it. I enjoyed the view from the master bedroom and the kids loved the pool. Once we arrived at the house we felt like we were in our own oasis. The hosts were very responsive to us as well.

10 stars!

There was never a dull moment between swimming, the hot tub, making a fire, and renting the boat. Location was perfect for us because we had to be downtown but still wanted to be on the lake and this was the only lakefront house we could find. It only took us about 8 minutes to get downtown. Would definitely stay here again. Views were amazing and the rooms all had very fun decorations. thanks to Austin and his team!

Decent place - not worth the price tag

Front door lock was broken when we arrived and we were not able to get in for almost an hour after our check-in time. Upstairs AC was almost nonexistent and uncomfortably hot. The gate to get in to the property was broken several times throughout our stay, to the point where we had to manually unhook the electric portion of it to leave the property. Lastly, there's a camera staring at your face in the lanai that was unsettling to say the least, I don't think anyone wants to be watched like that. I will say getting to the house was a bit scary because of the area, but the property was a pleasant surprise once the gate opened. The property has a beautiful lakefront view with a very nice dock to hangout on. And the main house is well sealed, so noise did not leak out of the house at all. Don't think I would stay here again, but we enjoyed our time there.

The perfect escape! We had an amazing one-night stay at this lakefront property, and it exceeded all our expectations. The views of the lake were simply breathtaking, and the pool and spa provided the relaxation we needed. The rooms were beautifully appointed, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. This property is a hidden gem, and we can't wait to return for a longer stay in the future!

Amazing vacation spot centrally located

I read some bad reviews on here so I was a little skeptical but Austin has done a great job at correcting everything because we had a great time. The house was everything we could have asked for and more. It was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The pool, hot tub, bocce ball court, guest house, movie room, and putting green were all incredible amenities that we enjoyed immensely. The pool was the perfect place to cool off on a hot day, and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing in the evening. The bocce ball court was a lot of fun, and the guest house was great for our friends who wanted to have their own space. The movie room was perfect for watching movies with the family, and the putting green was a great way to practice our golf skills. But the best thing about this house was the location. It was right on the lake, and the views were breathtaking. We spent hours sitting on the dock, fishing and swimming. Overall, we had an amazing stay at this lakefront house. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind with our family and friends. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable vacation experience.

Poor value for money

The main house and the guesthouse need maintenence and it is obvious that a qualitypolicy do not excist. No gas grill, cracked plates and cups, missing kitchenware, there was no ”gym” at all, the remote controll for the TV set in the master bedroom was dead, the freezer/fridge was out of order, the handshower in the downstairs shower room did not work. A pile of black plasticbags containing garden waste was in the front yard during the whole stay, the tap in one of the basins in the restroom upstairs suddenly broke. The toilet in the guesthouse was clogged. Many times, when it rained, the kitchenfloor in the guesthouse was full of rainwater, the poolwater turned green due to lacking maintanance. The dishwasher bottom tray was broken, the airconditioner vent was in the masterbedroom and made a loud noise early in the morning and during the night when we wanted to sleep, the airconditioner in the dubblebunk room was ineffective, good that there was a sign warning about snakes. The sign should be complimented with information about the kind of snake and emergency medical treatment steps in case of being bit. All the pool table cues were broken, the button to open gate from inside should be included in the instructions at the time of ”handing over the keys”.The handyman was very helpful. He fixed some of the most urgent problems. For the same amount of money we could have had rooms at Hilton Orlando. The conclusion was that we did not get value for the money.

Nice place. Plenty of room.

The property is adequate for coming home and relaxing after a day out in Orlando. The area is not conducive to going for a walk to a coffee shop or dinner. Once you're on the property there is plenty of privacy. The property is currently being improved and is definitely a good spot. I would not recommend going into the lake from shore to swim but there were people water skiing and fishing. Perfect for what we needed and expected.

2nd time back and we loved it!

We stayed here over a year ago and can not believe all the improvements that were made. The furniture and mattresses are all upgraded, much more cooking utensils, and everything just felt nicer. the lake also felt more open. we especially loved the putting green and the new fire pit. we took the paddle boards out for a spin and it was great. the neighborhood is definitely being gentrified, so not really ideal for jogging, but we were super close to the amway center which is what we wanted so it was perfect for us.

The Good and the Terrible

The good was the property itself, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and fishing off the dock . But then you had to contend with how hot the house was. It had a sign in the house to not turn the air down past 72 and you could only physically turn it down to 71 but they control the thermostats remotely. They turned it down for an hour this first night then turned it back up, the property manager said that it is an old house and would freeze up. Well that has nothing to do with the house and everything to do with the air conditioner. The dishes were dirty because the dishwasher doesn’t work right and it smells like sewage. They had someone come and cut the grass while we were there and didn’t have a guard on and chipped paint on my truck and my brother in laws truck. Unless you like it hot inside I do not recommend this place!

Great place to reconnect with old friends

Our experience was great. The house fit all of our needs for a quick reunion to celebrate my husbands 30th! The lake was great and being able to rent a boat that we could dock at the house was an amazing added bonus! We hope to book again next year!

Centraal gelegen, mooi uitzicht, dit huis is een aanrader

Wij waren in Orlando voor een familie reünie en hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Het huis heeft een prachtig uitzicht, praktisch en ruim ingericht en was goed schoon. Het huis mag wel wat (verf) onderhoud. Daarbij was het servies (bestek, borden, wijn-/bier glazen) te beperkt. Wel fijn dat de bedden waren opgemaakt, en er wasmiddel, zeepjes, handdoeken en vuilniszakken aanwezig waren. Wat ons opviel was dat langs de waterkant bij de vlonder zwerfafval lag, jammer als je bij het water zat. Op het overdekte terras buiten was het prettig toeven, ook voor onze opa die zo van zijn zwemmende kleinkinderen kon genieten. Centraal gelegen, dit huis is een aanrader.

Nicely secluded spot close to downtown

So let me explain the good, the bad, and the ugly. For starters, the house is absolutely beautiful. There is a putting green, a koi pond, a guest house, hot tub, pool and pool table, stand up paddle, and kitchen amenities. It feels like it's got everything. It's also gated in and the neighbors all seem like cool people. They are also finishing up a bocce ball court I think and the fire pit was a nice touch. Now, there was a house right when we turned onto the Street that gave me concern, but honestly it was never an issue the entire time we were there. It was like once we got on property, we could have been in the middle of the Bahamas for all we knew. It's great to be this close to downtown, too. It was less than 10 minutes. We had 10 adults and 6 kids and this house was tht perfect size for that group. I did see some trash in the lake, but I'm not really sure what you can do about that? All in all I was very impressed. This seems to be the only house close to downtown that can comfortably sleep this many people. The best part though was definitely the fact that we just had a great time on the property, it felt like we would have enough things to do for a couple days without ever leaving if we wanted .

Wasn't unbearable. The ice maker doesn't work. Neighbor hood is straight hood

Idk where to start. Most of the beds and showers had black hairs. No prob cleaned them. The air kicks up to 80 somehow. The outside was very very nice. Inside needs updating. The lock codes are crazy. The pool was great. I would recommend brining your own kitchen stuff. Would've been nice if we were told the ice maker doesn't work. Everyday we stayed there was people cutting the grass and doing repairs. Which was def needed just wish it wasn't while i was there. The neighborhood is Def xxxxxrated. Hookers walking down the street people asking for drugs. The dock and lake was really nice. Kids caught some big catfish. My brother and his family left it wasn't comfortable for them. I hate to be negative, but the pictures posted did not show the property as it really is. Def glamor shots. Down stairs was comfortable. Upstairs really dated and moldy smelled like septic. We mostly hung out in the huge screened in pool area and was great. There is only 3 tvs and no cable we could only get 2 to work. For 13 people that's not enough. I will say the price seems a little high for the property and the danger that the house is surrounded by. When the owner tells you it's a Lil seedy that's a huge underestimate of the Crack town it's on the middle of. Other then the little things it could be very nice.

Location, location, location, and sunsets too

What a great spot right in the middle of everything that Orlando has to offer. Loved the master bedroom overlooking the pool in the huge lanai with the lake just behind it, we spent most of the time here while our teenagers and their friends hung out in the pool and game room. Great spot to entertain a few folks, go to the parks and have a private spot for downtime. Plenty of safe parking behind a gated entrance, lots of room for all, we ended up not even going into a bedroom or 2. Jason was super on top of everything and the communication was stellar. Ya, the neighborhood is not that great as others mentioned, but we felt safe and secluded tucked away from it and behind the gates/walls. After I posted some social media pics I had friends asking for the link, I would absolutely stay here again.
